Well, I do think Pence is owed the price of the tickets, most certainly he deserves a refund for that.

The cast of the musical Hamilton broke out of character to deliver a speech to Mike Pence, who was in attendance. The speech seems to have concerned their thoughts on Pence. Apparently, it was at the end of the show, and Pence did stick around so he could hear them out. Classy on his part.

However, Trump being Trump then followed that up with a couple of tweets lambasting the cast, demonstrating that once again he is not particularly thick skinned when ity comes to criticism, and using his favorite bully pulpit, Twitter, he tries to make a point.

Donald, you have not even been sworn in yet. Deal with reality, there will be protestors wherever you go, and there will be tens of millions of folks in this country that will hate you. Time to cowboy up a bit and let stuff roll off. If you are going to go to war over every perceived slight or affront, your life will be a miserable hell of tweeting then defending your tweets.

President-elect Trump tweeted a call for the cast of the blockbuster musical 'Hamilton' to apologize after, as he put it, "V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater."

"The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence," the president-elect tweeted Saturday morning.

Trump's tweets came after Pence on Friday night was met with a mix of boos and cheers as he entered the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City to attend the evening performance of Hamilton," according to video from the performance.

At the end of the performance, actor Brandon Victor Dixon, who plays Vice President Aaron Burr, took to the stage and acknowledged Pence's presence and added, "We hope you will hear us out."

Pence was on his way out of the auditorium, as Dixon spoke. But a rep for "Hamilton" told The Associated Press that Pence stood in the hallway outside and heard the full remarks.

"I see you walking out but I hope you will hear us," Dixon said. "Nothing to boo here, ladies and gentlemen, there's nothing to boo here ... We're all sharing a story of love. We welcome you, and we truly thank you for joining us here at 'Hamilton: An American Musical' -- we really do.

Dixon continued, "We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of all of us."

The actor concluded, "We truly thank you for sharing this show, this wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds, and orientations."Pence attended the show with his daughter, Charlotte, as well as his nieces and nephew, according to one of his aides. They were seated in the center orchestra sectio

The audience booed him throughout and the cast personally addressed and tried to smear him. Yes i think its fine for Trump and others to comment.. Since when do casts call out people who paid to see them perform?

I disagree with the artists using their performance to target any paying customer but the ever calm Pence handled it like a pro. I also disagree with Trumps tweet. Why not just embrace the criticism? Follow me? He could have tweeted that

"" Mike Pence and his family attended the show to be entertained not criticized however as your President Elect I want you to know we will work hard to uphold all those same values as you""

That's off the cuff but shouting harassment will only fuel more of this. Handle it like Clear and Present Danger lol. Embrace it

I mean that's if he just HAD to tweet at all. He needs his phone taken away or at least have an advisor provide feedback before tweeting. He's our next POTUS ffs

The ironic thing is that if Pence had seen the show 6 months ago the morons on stage would have had no clue who he was, even though he was the same person with the same views and governor of Indiana.

We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us,

How is that not implying racism?

Messages left with Pence representatives were not immediately returned Friday.
"Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is no stranger to politics either, having backed Hillary Clinton during this year's election cycle. In addition to endorsing Clinton, Miranda held a benefit showing of the musical in July, where admission to the show supported the Clinton campaign -- some tickets reportedly went for as much as $10,000.
Pence has been in New York with President-elect Donald Trump as the team works on presidential transition effort

President Trump will be a merciful leader, he told them to apologize in his twitter feed but they have refused to obey so far.

Funny how Trump thinks Pence is so weak he can't defend himself ...Unfortunately Trump will "lead" the most powerful country in the world...he shouldn't be "leading" with hurt feelings after every criticism .......it's a shame he thinks that was an important issue.

..Doesn't Trump realize yet that his job isn't to squash free speech but protect it.

The smear is the premise of the "lecture" to which they submitted him. They all showed their arse's and the entire audience is owed a refund and an apology.

You don't stand up for your friends and colleagues? How telling? So Obama thought Hillary was weak?

So what laws are this administration going to enact that will punish black people and take away their rights or not protect them anymore. Could you elaborate? What exactly are these educated and informed voters scared of EXACTLY? I still can't comprehend why some people would be scared for their safety because I haven't seen a single logical or rational explanation.

Could someone here inform the rest of of us which specific laws will no longer protect citizens?

Trump has a hair-trigger connected to a hare-brain, exactly the opposite of all previous Presidents.

    Dark days ahead for America.

A lame deflection won't change the fact that NY liberals acted like uncivilised cavemen. Anyone decent will be embarrassed. It's a theatre for heaven's sake.

No where in the tweet did Trump say shut up and here you are taking Trump to task for his free speech on twitter. I always say " " If you put yourself in the political arena, then you are inviting a response. Nobody gets insulation."-

Could one even imagine if Obama had attended a performance of White actors portraying a Black man, then called out Obama at the end as he was booed by many Whites in the audience?

I don't explain things I never alleged. He has every "right" to be morally outraged over criticism. It simply seems to be childish for a president elect to do, in the manner in which he is doing it.

I can quote you so you can understand better.

The question stands. Why do you feel Trump should not have the right to address the false charges? You made it clear you do not believe he does when you tell him he should not respond.

    Can you answer the question?
