I have mixed feelings about the current state of government and politics. On one hand this is wildly entertaining. It is reality TV at its best. On the other hand the lack of decorum is a little unsettling.

I can understand anyone not liking the spectacle made on a daily basis but I also see things made better in the end. In this case we have an unruly reporter being rude and dispruptive. This is pretty new. So the lawsuit and how the white house makes adjustments seems to be necessary. In the end there will be a process to deal with press members who grand stand and are rude and disruptive. That is a positive outcome.

How do you see things related to this situation?

One thing I noticed was the microphone passed to reporters. It seems they could have a better way of doing that. Maybe have multiple microphones and if a reporter is being rude they could just mute that microphone.

Oh well, I guess reporters being disruptive is a new thing.

Wrong. The purpose of a press conference is for the press to ask questions and get answers from the President. Acosta wanted to turn things into a debate and the Jim Acosta show. He is a smug little [expletive] that is a disgrace to his profession.

That is the thing about President Trump, you know he will make adjustments. I think the aspect of "due process" that the judge ruled is a good point. If the white house can ban any reporter for any reason then the next Democrat may ban Fox News just for the heck of it.

It is good the white house is developing a process to deal with rude dickheads like Acosta.

Disagree. He started by giving his opinion. As a media member.

Then he held up the press conference.

Why not use the same procedures they use in a court room? When the judge says shut up, you shut up or else.

Good idea but when someone is held in contempt they can be jailed. There has to be a consequence to rudeness like Acosta exhibited but not jail.

Dislike this president strongly. Agree with him about this. It's his press room where he holds voluntary pressers. Nothing in the constitution requires the president talking to the press. His only communication obligation is State of The Union to Congress, from time to time. It can be delivered on a cocktail napkin.

The judge way over stepped - there is no authority for the judicial branch to tell Trump who he has to let into his entirely voluntary pressers.

The Fifth hardly applies. Acosta wasn't thrown into prison without due process after being arrested for a crime. Not a thing in the 5th about guests to the President's meetings that is not obligated to hold.

Acosta is wrong. Nobody should get to do what he does. You can hate the man all you like, but you damned well better respect the office when entering The People's House.

    Jim Acosta was fine.

Gotta love the Trump supporters though. They see Acosta asking Trump 2, two questions that are apparently difficult for Trump to answer and they say he is out of line and rude. But when Trump starts ripping into Acosta and calls him a rude person and is horrible and yells and calls him fake news, that is completely becoming of the POTUS.

I bet the Trump supporters heads would explode if Acosta yelled back and called him fake President.

WH should set new ground rules:

when u get the mic, you ask your questions then sit down.

if you dont like the answer to your questions, tough luck.

if you refuse to hand over the mic, you will never be called on to ask a question again.

    simple.

It's far better that a judge had to teach Trump to comply with the constitution.

I think Jim acted like a punk but if I’m reading this restraining order right it’s kinda shocking that they didn’t have a procedure to kick a journalist out already in place before they kicked him out.
