    True to both.

I'm reading that Soleimani has been under almost constant sanctions from both the U.N. Security Council and the United States since 2007, and has been listed as a known terrorist since fairly early in the Obama administration. "Sanctions" don't work with some individuals.

Also this (from Wiki - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qasem_Soleimani ): "The British magazine The Week featured Soleimani in bed with Uncle Sam in 2015, which indicated to both sides fighting ISIS, although Soleimani was leading militant groups that killed hundreds of Americans during the Iraq War."

I remember when we had an apologist President not too long ago....

Trump has been gathering a lot of nuts for a very long time. Usually the nuts off his opposition.
So far, Michael Moore seems to be the only Democrat thinker who has noticed that he is missing his nuts.

“I think the thing with Woodward’s book and all the other stuff where we talk about Trump, and try to just kind of (write him off), that he’s just an idiot, he’s crazy… all these names we attached to him, like he said, he’s president and you’re not. He’s so dumb he figured out how to win the White House by losing. How do you do that? That’s like, Wow!!!”
SHOWBIZ 411, Michael Moore Thinks Donald Trump Wrote NYTimes Op-Ed Piece: “He’s the master of distraction, he wants us to believe there are adults in the room”, By Paula Schwartz - September 15, 2018 11:50 am.

Soleimani was actually a brilliant leader, but the USG seems to have a way of driving smart opponents crazy. Trump just amps that up. Iran should have resisted the temptation to strike and avoided conflict at all costs.

The USG is always an irritant. Dealing with that is a real challenge for our enemies and our friends.

Why not get to the point and take out Ali Khamenei, and his Assembly of Experts? And then take out their replacements as soon as they appear?

is it possible to drone a nation into surrender? Hell, let’s find out, just for the fun of it.

    And who started the war?

I knew the sister of one the hostages. I will never forgive or forget the Iranian thugs nor the coward, Jimmy Carter.

Nuke the GD btch, or at least drone it’s leadership out of existence.

Obama was a war hawk. Trump has been much more restrained than the previous president.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politic...y-check-yes-president-obama-is-a-hawk/256674/

"In summary, President Obama escalated a major war and sent tens of thousands more troops to fight it, even as he joined in regime change in a different country, ordered drone strikes in at least three others, and sent commandos into Pakistan, a list of aggressive actions that isn't even exhaustive."

That was Obama's foreign policy in the Middle East. Trump wanted to try something other than toppling dictators and playing with drone attacks.

We'll see if Trump turns out any differently from a string of presidents who strongly support the Military Industrial Complex and it's profits.

    Kill terrorists?

Good grief, there are more terrorists in the US and Israeli governments than anywhere else on earth.

The brutalizing and murdering of free men, innocent men, is accomplished daily by the US and Tel Aviv governments.

Not buying—He never went after Iran’s leadership, just mid-level miscreants.

My point was war in the Middle East generally. Obama was a war hawk.

You are correct. Obama never went after Iran. Perhaps Obama was Putin's puppet. He lifted sanctions on Iran and sent them pallets of cash.

Well, that's OK. I value her opinion and hope I shined a spotlight as to why President Trump gave the order to help this scumbag assume room temperature.

Tens of thousands are marching all over Iran and even in a part of India over the killing of their hero; Gen. Soloimani, but that's okay. I mean didn't Trump say; "Soloimani was hated and feared in Iran", and didn't Bolton say; "this is the first step to regime change in Tehran" - so there's no reason not to believe them? :wall:

Deja vu anyone? Syria comes to mind - same lies. What a way to start 2020.

The Iranian has killed at least 600 Americans and he was planning more murders. He was Yasser Arafat on steroids.

He should have been killed 15 years ago.

Iran is the bully of the Middle East. Sometimes young have to punch the bully in the nose.

Not to try to patronize you, but if you are a Texan (I'm an old native-Texan myself), then you know what needs to be done when a rancher finds a rattlesnake den that poses a threat to himself, his family, and his livestock. THAT is what Iran has been ever since this Islamo-Nazi band of Muslim 'priests' took over everything there in 1979.

We should have gone in and 'cleaned them out' after they seized our American Embassy and our people there back in that early time, but Democrat Jimmuh Cawduh wasn't about to do anything like that! Now, here we are, just about 41 years later, and now the problem is far, far worse, with Iran projecting disruptive, murderous policies throughout the Middle East through its allies, stooges, and 'proxy' armies. The time has come to CLEAN OUT THIS NEST OF SNAKES IN IRAN once and for all....

And because our situation has not deteriorated to the point of uselessness (yet), we can destroy the entire Iranian military using AIR POWER, and never have to put one American soldier's "boot on the ground".... Or, we can continue to dither around for another few years and by then the 'priesthood' will have thermonuclear hydrogen bombs and the missiles to deliver them to any point on Earth....

Possibly Consortium news has hit the nail on the head, Trump is impeached and Netanyhu should be in jail. It suits them both.
