Like it or not the Dude is fighting a war for survival against a pack of Islamist extremist. That an Indonesian government that has a long history of slaughtering its Christian minorities would accuse him of that of which it has done for far less cause. is laughable at best.

 

Have you ever been to the Phillipines? I have, life is cheap in that country. Do you know I could have you killed for less than a $100 today, back in the 80s it was $20 dollars...And he is offering rewards for drug dealers dead or alive.

Who knows better who these people are, the police or the people in those neighborhoods? You can wail about it all you want...but the Phillipines is not the US...and are we not supposed to respect cultural differences?

To the people who say that this guy isn't as bad as the OP claims. Do some research. This isn't just going after drug dealers. His policies are a lot more than that. They are not allowed to have trials, and his "police" are given kill on sight authority for anyone even suspected of selling drugs, or simple possession. There have been thousands of people killed who were even using or selling drugs, but the police decided they were without any evidence. They also kill drug deals families.. Wives, children, etc....

I voted for Obama the first time and am happy I did. That said, F Indonesia and its people. They are no concern of ours and Duerte is their chosen leader whether you like that or not. Indonesia is the most populous Muslim Country in the world. They've been murdering Christians off and on since Nixon. And Yes Duerte is Catholic in fact most Phillipinos are Catholic, The Moros however are Muslim and have been in a state of Rebelion off and ob for more than 100 years in fact the M-1911 .45 automatic first saw combat in the Phillipines in the year of it's creation because the standard .38 side arm lacked sufficient stopping power to bring down Moros fuel by some sort of drug.

There's the 25th Amendment clause based on mental capacity. We cannot have a US President endorsing dictators and murderers(and though we'd done so covertly in the past, this is much more open) and yes, it diminishes our ability to reduce these threats abroad and prevent the possibility of a new world war.
