    In the AirForce for on base parades it was on the flight line and it is some law of nature that the temperature in summer is always 12 degrees or more higher than in the parts of the base fit for human habitation. So after that torture we had to pay for dry cleaning / laundering. Hey that amounted to a tax on beer money.

    There are celebrations to honor the military all over the country in towns near military bases. Trump is free to go to any he wants.

    But instead Trump wants to see tanks rolling down Pennsylvania Ave so he can stand on the balcony like Mussolini and stroke his ego.

    Military parades in the French and British capitals have long histories dating back to when both places were more authoritarian.

    We have no such tradition in America.

    Trumper's love of dictatorship will be the end of Democracy here.
    These same kind of people started WWII. Dictators crave adulation
    and Trump is a textbook case. They will be studying him in the history
    books for a long time. If we still have history books.

    Oh goody! Cadet Bone Spurs wants a parade, a bigly, really bigly, parade with all the bells & whistles, big shiny military toys - just like his favorite nation's (Russia) annual victory day parades - missiles, tanks, artillery, armored personnel carriers - the whole deal. This is what he wanted, and couldn't get, for his inauguration - the Pentagon wisely said no.

    It seems Cadet Bone Spurs needs to be loved by all and given all the attention he desires. This is the most insecure, buffoonish and dangerous president to come down the pike in a long, long time. If he really wants to do something big regarding the military, he should spend some meaningful time at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, which honors vets of the war Trump so adroitly avoided - and then he should get on with the task of helping vets all over the country who are in need of help, particularly homeless vets, whose numbers increased last year for the first time in 7 years.

    Cadet Bone Spurs probably has his uniform already picked out......;)

    What equipment? My understanding is the parade would just be military personnel, and I believe there are sufficient numbers of military personnel from every branch in the surrounding area.

    Perhaps you have some information I haven't seen. If so, please point to it so I can get better informed.
