What, are you writing a crime novel? Please clarify that your position is based entirely on assumptions.

So trump shares a terrorist threat with the other country capable of doing something about it and now you want to hang him.

They must be OK with the terrorists bringing down a civilian airliner, possibly with Americans aboard.

You obviously can't keep up with all of the breaking news of crimes and corruption of the Trump Admin.......still hearing the Trump crime dog whistles? And Trump did not share, he blurted and the CIA and NSA had to be notified in a scramble to let the source know that the operative was compromised. Critical thinking is not that hard.

    Actually, no.

I was asked to make a call about treason in a hypothetical situation- would I support hanging of a leaker? My response is I would support people being treated equally. One leaked to a newspaper and one leaked to an enemy. Leaking is leaking. If the punishment for leaking is hanging, then they both need to hanged.

I agree. I see the hypocrisy of those that were only concerned about the substance of stolen and leaked emails and not the crime of the leak source, but are not concerned about the substance of telling Russians code word secret classified intelligence, and rather blaming the source of the leak.

No, the President did NOT have clearance to tell that information. THAT is the point. Just because he can retroactively declare it was his right, that doesn't mean he went about it in the correct way. It is an abuse of power that weakens our security because we have lost credibility with our allies' intelligence agencies that depend on us keeping our agreements so people don't get killed.

I see absolutely no reason to defend Trump in this situation and I only see partisans attempting to make any kind of argument to do so.

This is not about liberals, conservatives, or any other division. This is about a President with an impulse control problem and a lack of understanding of the gravity of his position. He no longer simply represents himself. He is responsible for 300+ million citizens and their safety. He chose to make us less safe, on a whim.

Trump is chaotic, arrogant and reckless.. If he goes, were stuck with a religious fanatic.. If Pence goes, we're stuck with Paul Ryan. We're screwed.

You should probably go back and see exactly what McMasters said and didn't say. He's NOT going to be tainted by Trump so he was VERY careful about what he said.

Okay, but the 'hypothetical' was hardly 'hypothetical', given the allegations that have yet to be proven true.or even mildly true. I'm not an idiot, Boris.

    I'm not a Democrat...

Why did Eric and Donald jr claim in 2008 and 2014 that Trump enterprises had gotten $100 million from the Russians. Are they liars? And, what of Jared close ties to Michael Flynn?

Anytime, get your tissue ready though, this is going to get even better.

You ask for proof, just be patient.......all the blocks fall into place. McMaster is still a serving General, he has to fall on his sword. Proof is going to happen before impeachment or in a court of law. Don't fear it with denial ;).

What isn't hypothetical about it? When is the last time we hung someone for treason? Sheesh.

...and I'm not Boris, nor did I say you were an idiot.

    Yeah... They long for this:

    https://pjmedia.com/trending/2017/0...-treason-doesnt-mean-what-you-think-it-means/

There's a reason that treason is the only crime fully defined in the Constitution. Here's the definition, from Article III Section 3:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

As "Publius" (James Madison) said in the Federalist paper #43:

"As treason may be committed against the United States, the authority of the United States ought to be enabled to punish it. But as new-fangled and artificial treasons have been the great engines by which violent factions, the natural offspring of free government, have usually wreaked their alternate malignity on each other, the convention have, with great judgment, opposed a barrier to this peculiar danger, by inserting a constitutional definition of the crime, fixing the proof necessary for conviction of it, and restraining the Congress, even in punishing it, from extending the consequences of guilt beyond the person of its author."

In other words, the founders established a very narrow definition of treason in the Constitution specifically because accusations of treason have been the weapons "violent factions" — that is, political parties — have used to punish their opponents.

Ex Parte Bollman, Justice Marshall wrote:

To constitute that specific crime [of treason] war must be actually levied against the United States.

They continue in their addled fantasy of impeaching Trump.

I hoped that you could clarify about Trump. I was a teenager during the Korean War. Voted only for the Democratic party.
I have been to the Nixon grave. He is no help now. The media in the US is counter culture.

Matter of fact, was there a crime to be investigate?

People want to know what Mr anonymous has accused potus of.

Trump is the person that lawfully can share intelligence with others. He is the top person.

Usually there is a detailed discussion with IC agencies and the source before this happens. That detailed discussion after he spilled the beans.

You simply have proven beyond all doubt that you never held a security clearance, never received security training, never were in the United States military with a security clearance…and don’t know what the hell you are talking about, and that goes for all those who thanked you for that post.

“Election to the nation’s highest office is the ultimate conferral of trust upon an American citizen by the body politic.”

“Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, would have to answer—while hooked up to a polygraph—whether in the past seven years she ever received a warning or reprimand for any ‘violation of a security policy.’ An honest answer to this would not be promising, and I doubt that investigators would be swayed by the defense ‘…but after his reprimand, the director of the FBI didn’t indict me!’”

“For example, earlier this year, Hillary Clinton promised—barring national security concerns—that if elected president she would open the ‘X-files’ related to UFO phenomena. That will be her prerogative as president, and no power in government can stop her from doing so.” https://news.clearancejobs.com/2016/07/25/kind-security-clearance-president-get/
