I'm an American Nationalist. I have been for decades and long before Trump said it a few weeks ago. Being an American Nationalist doesn't mean that you don't care about other nations. It just means we will not put their interests above or ahead of Americas. And it's love of ones own country.
Macron was just talking out of his arse.

BTW...another good one from Trump today...

Emmanuel Macron suggests building its own army to protect Europe against the U.S., China and Russia. But it was Germany in World Wars One & Two - How did that work out for France? They were starting to learn German in Paris before the U.S. came along. Pay for NATO or not!

“By saying our interests first, who cares about the others, we erase what a nation holds dearest, what gives it life, what muakes it great and what is essential: its moral values,”

Talk about putting words in people’s mouths..... “who cares about the others”

“Nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism” ..... that’s like saying punching is a betrayal of boxing..... wtf

    It's a typical liberal spin.

They don't like the "Nationalism" word and ignorantly believe that it has been corrupted so, so much that it HAS to be racist if you want to continue to use the word.

Truth is, Nationalism scares the hell out of your typical lib/prog/dem/facist/socialist/communist (<<<all one of the same these days.).

Words hurt though..... just kidding. Words mean different things to different people. Too much nationalism can be bad but that’s just like everything else done to the excess. Eating=good Excessive eating=bad.... it’s a slippery slope when people change the meanings of words because a person they don’t like uses them

Macron has an approval rating a little bit higher than our very own Democratic Congress, so he should probably try a different tactic with his people.

Anyone who believes in sovereignty and loves their country is a nationalist, period. That is what the word means now and has always meant.
But now that the hate speech card carriers seem to be ruling over us nationalist is another name added to the hit list of a certain group of people.

Macron has an imbecile's view on nationalism. It simply means placing the interests of your nation above the interests of others. It doesn't mean gas chambers for minorities.

It's lunacy, nationalism is a synonym of patriotism when you have to add a word to a word to make it bad then your being disingenuous, that my friends is the bottom line.

“nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism.”

What a profoundly idiotic statement. You cannot be a nationalist without a huge degree of patriotism, and patriotism cannot exist without a sense that your nation is great, unique, valuable, and worth preserving.

I was very proud of President Trump for not stooping to Macorni boys level on a day meant to honor the war dead. Shame on Macoroni boy. Ingrate.

Actually from what's been in the news for a decade or so, leftism is a betrayal of patriotism.
