    *LOL*

So, the Saudis are facing punishment at the hands of the Mighty Bonespurs? Like what? A stiff tsk tsk tsk? A forceful wag of the finger? Maybe a stern talking to?

Did you sympathize when Obama faced the harshest obstructionism is history between 2010 & 2016? Trump has a Republican House & Senate, plus a conservative Supreme Court. Maybe the reason he's having problems with his agenda is because that agenda is un-American. Or, perhaps it simply because Republicans are so anti-government philosophically, that they are incapable of governing in practice. Or, maybe conservatives (Republicans) are so focused on finding fault with everything & everyone, that they are incapable of finding areas of common ground or agreement sufficient to accomplish anything constructive together. I don't claim to know the answer, but either choice is true enough to convince me to vote for anyone other than a Republican.

    Of course he did.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/na...ooting-erdogan-foe-u-s-appease-turkey-n933996

Trump administration officials last month asked federal law enforcement agencies to examine legal ways of removing exiled Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen in an attempt to persuade Erdogan to ease pressure on the Saudi government, the four sources said.

The effort includes directives to the Justice Department and FBI that officials reopen Turkey's case for his extradition, as well as a request to the Homeland Security Department for information about his legal status, the four people said.

They said the White House specifically wanted details about Gulen's residency status in the U.S. Gulen has a Green Card, according to two people familiar with the matter. He has been living in Pennsylvania since the late 1990s.

Career officials at the agencies pushed back on the White House requests, the U.S. officials and people briefed on the requests said.

"At first there were eye rolls, but once they realized it was a serious request, the career guys were furious," said a senior U.S. official involved in the process.

I claimed that they faced no consequences. Your response was to soil your drawers and scoff at the claim.

What are the consequences? There have been no consequences, and Trump publicly doubted US intelligence and offered no consequences.

Well? What will a vengeful Bonespurs do to the Saudis? Angrily stare in their direction?

    You stated:
He is adamantly opposed to making sure that SA sees any consequences after murdering a journalist.
    You cannot support this statement.

I just did, my myopic chum.

    1. There have been no consequences;
    2. There are no planned consequences; and
    3. Bonespurs publicly offered doubt as to the Clown Prince's involvement and still threatens no consequences, and no plans to address any consequences.

Yes, I guess you just won a huge Trumpish victory. There will be massive consequences at some undetermined point, and it will hurt the Saudis real bad bad bad!

    You're welcome, my illogical comrade.

Say, what will Big Bad Bonespurs do to punish the Saudis? More of the same?

Yaknow, while we're waiting for word on the horrifying consequences that Bonespurs will unleash on the poor Saudis, let's consider Saudis for a minute.

They must be absolutely terrified right now.

Trump had a republican congress for two years and all he got passed is a tax bill that is exploding the deficit.

Now he lost the house and is a lame duck. He couldn't get anything passed. because he didn't try to craft any bills. He is lazy. He is obese.

Have you ever been to Texas? Probably half the families are white & Hispanic mixed. I'm sure all those Hispanic spouses are looking forward to the death of their old white racist bastard spouse. ;)

They want a fair tax code? LOL. So no income tax is unfair? How much additional tax would they like to pay? I'm sure the Texas government would welcome voluntary contributions! Democrats, please send money to Austin!

Please give us the inside scoop on what Texans think.

I've been there. Great diners with chile sauces and mole to die for.

Middle class families need a federal tax code that doesn't redistribute wealth upwards. It's not hard. <Mod Edit>

The working class bears the tax burden regressively.

Clinton left with a surplus. The party of fiscal responsibility is the DEM party. Trickle down economics doesn't work. It's been proven, yet the right still does it. <Rule 2>

What do you recommend? Invasion? Airstrikes? We could blow up Mecca. Should other countries have punished the US when occurred here?

If the top 1% of earners pay 40% of income taxes how is that "regressive?" The top 25% pay 87%. Can you show me an income level where when you get a raise, your income tax rate decreases? No you can't. That is the definition of regressive.

Clinton owes the surplus to Newt Gingrich and the fact that Clinton was not a real lefty.

How did Obama do with his surplus?

It is pretty good. Why does that matter when they are also paying your welfare?

"Pretty good" is a gross understatement. I also have to question your talking point figure about percentages of income tax. Income tax is far from the only consideration, anyway, when talking about people's tax burdens.

After Obama cleaned up the crash he steadily brought down the deficit. Trump, during a booming economy, slashed taxes. Any first year econ student knows that is an idiot move, Now is the time to tax and pay down the debt.

43.1% of likely voters still approve of Trump. What matters is the way in which he is removed from office.

If it's founded on some unknown solid evidence Mueller has, then it'll be supported by the public, if it's perceived to be a trumped up (pun intended) witch hunt when all evidence is presented then the public won't be happy. In particular, the Trump base won't be happy.

I think it's pretty obviously not going to get violent, Trump as usual with a silly comment.

They are rumbling now because they're tossing up between:

    1. letting 2020 happen with Trump under vague threat of indictment, and campaign on "Lock Him Up!"

    2. Timing it such that he is impeached by the House at the end of the campaign just before polling, before the Senate can overwhelmingly acquit.
