In 2017, I was assured by MSNBC that there was a 50% chance that we would go to war with North Korea by the end of the year. So that's a success. Has everyone forgotten that tensions are dramatically reduced? It's hard to take the left seriously on North Korea when the only suggestion they have is to go back to the same type negotiations that have failed since the 90's. If you have a better idea, I'd love to hear it.

Trade war? Again your guys suggestion on that is to surrender. No thanks.

I think ideally speaking the US is winning with the trade war, considering the trade deficit favoring China, where China is selling more and buying less, so China could not retaliate effectively in terms of tariffs because it's buying less goods from the US, but China is aiming towards the crops that they are buying from the US and targeted US farmers for political leverage. I guess Trump is wiser with the decision this time. He don't want to lose those votes and still keep the collateral damage within manageable state.

the tension got high because trump send CVG near NK, and threaten to attack NK. Now NK news is in the back/bottom of news, not on front page anymore, but it doesn't mean they stop the testing at all. news is concentrated on impeachment instead NK. btw when was the last time a potus got an impeachment inquiry either from right or left. ;)
I didn't say surrender you said it. and trump said its easy to win and he promise a good deal, so WHERE IS IT? he dive into something that neither side could win, again due to his inexperience and macho attitude. if he were ally with EU/japan and pressure china, we might actually get a good deal by now, but no he went solo and attack everyone EU/Japan/SK/Canada/Mexico, while China went on charm offensive with EU/Japan/SK/S.asia, making deals all over. putting trump in POTUS seat is like putting a mechanic to operate your heart surgery. he just don't have the experience/knowledge on foreign affair, global business etc etc, and too much ego.

Well as I've been saying, that's the Democrat's policy preference, return to the pre-Trump status quo regarding trade with China.

Sorry I'm against that, however there is a good chance that a Democrat wins in 2020 so if that happens the trade war is one that the new President will pull out of, giving the victory to China.

The people who've been running things for decades screwed up trade and North Korea. Sorry, I'm not in favor of returning things to their incompetent hands.

Yep. It will be bigger than the tax cut and not add to the deficit. :)

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA! :roflol:

Saw that coming. Somebody finally got through that combover and made him understand how many votes he would lose if he followed through on those tariffs, causing Americans to pay through the nose for no-longer-so-cheap Chinese goods at Walmart.

    You obviously see it clearly.

"Trump's experience as a two-bit operation that built golf courses, ran fake colleges, sold steaks by mail and built condos for the very richest of Americans, can't hold a candle to the likes of a dictator like Xi Jinping. China sees Trump and Pompeo as 'gangsters' and even said it using that exact word- 'gangster'. And, China is right again. "

This thread is about trade with China, nothing to do with NK, so why are you bringing up NK with ever post? I'm genuinely curious.

Well let me put it this way, I didn't know what you were referring to in your post #89. If you don't feel like explaining it, that's perfectly fine.

Their are other options between a full out trade war that he's losing badly and surrender

Why haven't these other options been tried in the past 30 years?
