Whatever she allows, Trump will have to agree with that; that's how it works, my friend

    Nicely done.

Moreover, WTF is offering a 3 year fake amnesty to DACA members supposed to accomplish. Bonespurs has been enjoined by courts from acting on his termination of the DACA program, so he has nothing with which to negotiate.

I like factual sources, unlike many of our resident Trumpers:

Bonespurs has failed, is failing and will continue to fail until he's removed from office; he's an incompetent buffoon.

Are you saying that life long liberal Democrats and Democrat campaign donors are Nazis?

Like I always say - a minute Liberal starts praising Republican president, I'll start seriously worry. Until then - complain away, my friend - music to my ears :applause:

As if there was any doubt that he would cave eventually. Trump is either brilliant at politics ie China, NK or absolutely terrible such as when he separated the kids from their families which has to be the most monumentally stupid move optics wise by any president in the last 30 years.

On the issue of the border wall he has been terrible. All they had to do was learn from the left and change the language. Instead of going on and on about illegal immigrants they should have started with illegal criminals and things would have gone much differently. Don't believe me then ask any of your friends if they support or oppose keeping criminals from other countries from entering the US.

Uh, no. Those are old proposals that he rehashed into the speech he gave last week, and just gave again.

The only person who made the claim that you just made is cowardly Bonespurs, so that's simply untrue.

BTW, WTF is the 5.7 billion specifically for?

This is why your posts are tedious and impotent---your only goal is to "Pwn libs! Duh, blaargh!". It's not to govern responsibly, truly make this country better, or to provide leadership--or even make sense.

This is why Bonespurs is failing and will be out of office--because his supporters don't understand the role of government.

Bonespurs' principles are not "Republican". He ran as one, but he's merely a populist loudmouth who ran against a flawed candidate.

He's incompetent and uninformed; that kind of man always gets a comeuppance.

230 miles of wall, some replacement where there are only vehicle barriers illegals can walk through, some new. The Border Patrol and Homeland Security knows where they are needed.

He also offered something the democrats have been wanting for some time but they refused it before they knew what it was. That is not how you negotiate.

    "Liberalism:
b: a theory in economics emphasizing individual freedom from restraint and usually based on free competition, the self-regulating market, and the gold standard (see GOLD STANDARD sense 1)

c: a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy (see AUTONOMY sense 2) of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties

specifically : such a philosophy that considers government as a crucial instrument for amelioration of social inequities (such as those involving race, gender, or class)"
    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/liberalism

The fact is that the right worked hard since the Powell Memorandum to redefine the word so they could make "liberalism" an insult and a club with which to beat people whom they didn't like.

This standoff should now be recognized for what it is; Trump holding the country hostage because he can't stand losing to the Democrats in the midterms.

Trump, the never-ending blabber-mouth, has in numerous tweets now hinted that this is all about tackling the Democrats in the 2020 election.
Forget the wall or Trump's self-invented massive humanitarian crisis. Now that the cat is out of the bag this cover-story won't hold up much longer.

Basically Trump is doing exactly what he once claimed he could do; stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue, shoot someone and don't lose any voters. Or so he believes.
    Hence the shutdown explained.

We're caught in the whim of a madman.

    That's just not true.

What might be true is that he rehashed what has already been rejected. That's not how you negotiate, and you also dont' shut the government down over it, either.

Reagan would have been run out of the GOP today and called a "RINO". That brand of republicanism no longer exists.

The democrats can open the government by voting for walls they have voted for before to the tune of 700 miles. Pelosi is throwing the Dreamers and TPS under the bus.

So are you saying that Trump is dangling an unconstitutional program, with no basis for existence under our laws, in exchange for his wall?

How is she throwing the dreamers under the bus if Trump has decided to end the program himself?

That decision is enjoined by the Courts, so the Orange one has no leverage on the issue anyway, and they can't presently be deported, so there's nothing to actually throw under the bus.

The 3 year extension gives time for Congress to act on immigration. The dreamers could lose in the courts and even some libs are not willing to take that chance. This has also risen Trump's poll number among Hispanics by 19 points.

Sure! If you recall, he actually eliminated the program. However he's asking for a deal involving legislation. If the Congress enacts a 3 year time period for DACA and the President signs it, it's not an unconstitutional program, it's a constitutional and legal one.

But that's not how you guys do things, which is why the program was created with an executive branch memo...perfectly unconstitutional.

I'm not following? What do Trump's executive orders have to do with this?
