Oh does it? It sounds like fake news?

I assume when you talk about the "Trump shutdown" you mean canceling flights into the country, since the governors of each state make the decisions on how to run their states.

never said it was not true, and as I said, was a bad call *if* it happened, they should have been put in a separate nursing home where they would be quarantined until they tested free of the virus

unlike the right, the left calls out bad choices, regardless of party

sure the goals was to free up hospital space, but the nursing homes were not equipped to quarantine these patients - that makes it a bad call, let's recognize that and not make the same mistake again in the future, learn from it

let's document all the mistakes made during this crisis and learn from them, not repeat them in the next one

When this virus thing started, I was warning people to avoid blue areas. Democrats have a vested interest in spreading the virus and creating panic.

Democrats also talk about how much better America will be when all the old people are gone, so they jumped at a chance to rid America of them.

The question I would ask, since you love to be critical of Covid related issues that end in deaths, why you don't know what the single largest factor was in the death rate by state?

That decision wasn't orange enough to gather your attention?

Oh yeah, the left is well known for their objectivity.

One other question: how the hell could you make the mistake of putting the MOST vulnerable infected people in with the MOST at risk population?

"learn from the mistake" I swear to God.

that was not the single largest factor, but you know that, but it was a mistake to send nursing home patients back home if they had the virus, let's learn from it and not repeat it, maybe require nursing homes have areas where they can quarantine patients with a virus and better train them how to handle such a situation - this would apply to the common flu as well, as these are high risk patients

lot of mistakes made during this crisis, we need to review it when over, document the mistakes and learn from it, try to prevent the same mistakes the next go round and there will be a next go round

In your defense, people should know that's a good rule of thumb regardless of any other consideration.

    It's the ONLY factor!

The death rate below 55 without pre-existing conditions is practically non existent!

It certainly thinned out the Democrat states.

yes, that is true, but your other claim was fake news... most of those cases were not from hospitals sending people with the virus home to nursing homes

most were caused by people out and about, catching the virus and giving it to someone else

but the reality is, almost everyone will eventually get the virus, the question is, will you be able to get medical help if you do or will the hospitals be overloaded

the goal is to reduce the curve, not eliminate it, as that is not possible without a vaccine

I hope the States with low case counts had it late last year and just thought it was the flu, cause if not, there will be a second wave in those states

    Uh huh.

And no, 66% of New York cases came from people quarantined at home.

Yes I know that's what the left is hoping for.

Hear that a lot from them.

again with the fake news, you do know those people went shopping or had things delivered in order to catch the virus right

one can be quarantined at home, but if other family members go out, the whole house is at risk

0% that had zero contact outside the home have caught the virus

your not hoping that too, why? I think we should all be hoping that, herd immunity would be a good thing, especially if it means they already have it

yes, it would mean the Trump shutdown was not needed, but it also means people may have less to fear in those States

more random anti-body testing would help determine this

Thanks for pointing out that the quarantines were useless. I mean I already knew that, but thanks for pointing it out.

Since everyone has to eat, there is no one who had 0% contact with other potentially infected people.

that is what I have been saying, in States with low case counts, the Trump shutdown was useless, it may have needed to be delayed or not happen at all, we won't know for sure until we see if they have a round two or not

maybe we could have done just a shutdown in high population areas with mass transit, we need to use what we learn from this crisis to prepare for the next

What is the "Trump shutdown" again.

Please explain your understanding of what that means for us.
