The US led the recovery from the 2008 economic collapse and it has been steady, the EU eventually following the US and even surpassing it. Holding our own is good.
Which actually i did none of... Perhaps try to debate what i say instead of the constant **** slinging.
Obama wasn't even a cheerleader. FYI, GDP growth was 1.49% during Obama's last year in office, which was .01% higher than his average annual growth rate. The economy is doing much better now that it was under Obama for a lot more reasons than Trump's cheerleading.
Two million jobs were created last year which is less than in any of the last 6 years of Obama's tenure. In 2017 the economy grew 2.3% which was more than 2016, but less than in 2014 or 2015.
The job market, like the stock market, can be a misleading economic indicator. For example, once we reach full employment and hiring slows, that doesn't mean the economy has stalled. Same thing goes for the stock market - the Dow can go up and down in a manner that only reflects the speculation and emotions that are driving Wall Street at any particular time. The big question in a lot of people's minds is whether or not Trump & Co. can get a year of 3%+ GDP growth, which is something we haven't seen in a long time. The last time we had 3%+ GDP growth for an entire year was in 2005 when it was 3.35%. The next question is whether or not that growth can be sustained for the most part.
deluded right wingers have been giving countless excuses on behalf of Trump since before he was sworn in - now their excuses have snow balled in size
The right-wingers are just not interested in listening to this. Obsessively, they want to believe that Drumph is the best thing since sliced bread, when, ironically, he is the worst president we have ever had, bar none. Desperation is the only reason I can see for it. Desperate people with a desperate identity.
I'm pretty sure neither political nor military experience is a requirement for being an effective president. He's just a troll.
With Trump's presidency a disaster in so many respects, and surveys confirming the relentlessly negative assessment of it by Americans, grasping at the economy is the obvious defense. Unfortunately, casting Trump as being responsible merely places him back in the pack with May, Merkel, Macron, etc., leaders who are not only presiding over a marginally better economy. They have assumed leadership rolls in the global climate agreement and the international accord that checked Iran's nuclearization from which the US has retreated.
