The median income of Trump supporters is some $10,000 higher than Democrats' median income.

I never claimed you would live a wonderful life, just that you wouldn't die of acute starvation.

Not sure where you live, but I have absolutely zero sympathy for anyone who lives in Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Vancouver, Canada; etc. If you're poor and live where the cost of living is astronomical you're an idiot.

Minimum wage+ jobs are not just in tech hubs where every man and his dog is on $120k and a 1 bedroom flat costs an arm and a leg. Move rural.

Additionally, if the father is working minimum wage that gives him $1,160 a month, leaving him $410/month after rent. $112 for food leaves $298 a month for iPads and second televisions - or 3 new iPads for each the kids a year.

    Lol.

Working poor makes more than welfare poor?

Just want to see if you object to helping those too young, too old, or too sick to work.

Too funny. And the above shows that those who know nothing about history are bound to embarrass themselves.

The left said the same thing about the welfare reform requiring work for benefits that Bill Clinton signed in the late 90's. Millions of women and children would be starving in the streets. The result - millions found jobs. No one starved.

And once again the left demonstrates ignorance of history.

"Work over Welfare" - Ron Haskins - Brookings Institution Press - 2006

    Who is Ron Haskins ??

I agree emphatically. The bottom 80% of taxpayers pay only 13% of income taxes. Time for them to pay their fair share.

Here's why low to middle income people can't afford housing: CRIME.

Those groups are forced into either long commutes or living in high crime areas.

Why do we tolerate high crime areas?

Those places need an overwhelming police presence - until they are no longer high crime areas.

It doesn't hurt us to support some refugees.
Pay for separate buses? One word: NO!

I would be fine with a mandatory war tax during republican wars to help the soldiers when they come back home - the right woudl think twice before getting us into useless wars

I woudl also be fine with a mandatory welfare tax to help pay for welfare for the people rich mega corps don't pay a living wage, people would demand a rise to the min wage to a living wage to reduce this tax

the more dollars you earn, the more dollars you pay the tax on, the tax woudl apply to all income, not just labored income

Flat tax. No deductions, no exemptions, no loopholes, no differentiations between types of income.

What makes you think they're illegals? Are you making up reasons to let kids go hungry?

No, it's because Trump's base included the usual Republican "haves."
