I have just explained to you how the oil market works.
I am not going to do it again.

Instead I asked you how Trump would make your life full of sunshine happy days.

I am afraid Ukrainian commodities are sold in open intrranational markets.
Indeed you could be self sufficient in some things. Most countries can be.d
But you would be trading a tiny amount of surplus and making relatively little profit.

If you want a society where there is no want, no need and no suffering, you need to blow your brains out. That society doesn't exist in this life.

We do not have to sell our oil overseas. You are obviously not American. If we DO sell overseas, it is at a price set by OPEC, not by us. But we can produce our own oil, refine it and use it. There is no international law that forces us to sell our oil to anyone else.

Trump would have us awash in our own oil, removing all the restriction Biden has introduced.

We don't need a world government to make slaves of us. Pelosi, Schumer and Biden are making us slaves with much less fuss.

That doesn't mean that the Democrats aren't going to go for it. Their plan seems to be along the lines of, "Well, at least this will work for us".

You just simply ignore facts and data, over and over

Between 1975 and the end of 2015, the Energy Policy and Conservation Act directed a ban on nearly all exports of U.S. crude oil. This ban was not considered a significant policy issue when U.S. oil production was declining and import volumes were increasing. However, U.S. crude oil production roughly doubled from 2009 to 2015, due in part to a boom in shale oil production made possible by advancements in drilling technologies. In December 2015, Congress effectively repealed the ban, allowing the free export of U.S. crude oil worldwide.
    https://www.gao.gov/products/gao-21...gress effectively,of U.S. crude oil worldwide.

    Proponents

Proponents of the ban made the following arguments:
Repealing the ban would lead to fewer jobs at U.S. refineries because crude oil would be exported to foreign refineries.

Lifting the ban could increase carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Lifting the ban could lead to higher domestic oil and gasoline prices.

As of 2015, interest groups that supported the ban included the United Steelworkers Union, the Sierra Club, and the Center for American Progress.

"Lifting the ban would not only prove detrimental to the jobs of the men and women employed at U.S. refineries, but also to the communities that rely on the tax base generated from these wages."

In January 2014, Daniel J. Weiss and Miranda Peterson of the Center for American Progress argued that lifting the ban could increase gasoline prices in the same way that gasoline prices rose after Congress repealed a ban on Alaska's crude oil exports to the lower 48 states in 1996. Weiss and Peterson contended, "This experience suggests that lifting the crude oil export ban could similarly raise gasoline prices because 68 percent of the price of a gallon of gasoline is the price of oil, according to [Energy Information Administration] EIA.

The U.S. Congress voted on Friday to repeal the 40-year-old ban on exporting U.S. crude oil in an energy policy shift sought by Republicans as part of a bipartisan deal that also provided unprecedented tax incentives for wind and solar power.

Yep world wide shutdown thanks to Covid did that'

Special Report: Trump told Saudi: Cut oil supply or lose U.S. military support - sources

, Trump told Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that unless the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) started cutting oil production, he would be powerless to stop lawmakers from passing legislation to withdraw U.S. troops from the kingdom, four sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The threat to upend a 75-year strategic alliance, which has not been previously reported, was central to the U.S. pressure campaign that led to a landmark global deal to slash oil supply as demand collapsed in the coronavirus pandemic - scoring a diplomatic victory for the White House.

Trump delivered the message to the crown prince 10 days before the announcement of production cuts. The kingdom’s de facto leader was so taken aback by the threat that he ordered his aides out of the room so he could continue the discussion in private, according to a U.S. source who was briefed on the discussion by senior administration officials.

    I didn't say overseas.
I said "through the markets" .

No country can produce all the different grades of oil it needs to refine it into the many types of lubricants, food products and plastics and rubbers you need.

The markets set the oil price.
If Trump increased your oil production, your government would be ignoring the promises you made to other countries to cut fossil fuel production.
The other OPEC countries would not be pleased.
And international sanctions can be tough.

Here in Texas we sell right from the field to the refinery. And straight from the refinery to wholesalers. Come see. The producers sell it who they want and the refiners sell it to who they want. Now, if they were selling overseas, different rules would apply. Ranchers sell their meat like that here too... sometimes ribeyes right off a truck... good stuff.

    Sir
That is a teensy weeny part of the potential of the oil you produce.
    It is Dallas incarnate.
And I am afraid that was a fiction.
Oil is not sold like sides of cattle.
The US oil production is not equal to the Middle Eastern production
And it is their production which controls the market price. That is why Trump addressed th directly.

Now perhaps you could explain to me how you control the price of the margarine I have in my refrigerator.
Uses of oil is global, not national. Putting it in your tanker/vehicle is a TINY part of oil usage. I have margarine in my refrigerator that started life as oil. But was refined and redefined across multiple countries.
When you value oil, it is a complicated global balance based on international currencies , demand and supply.
Sorry but Dallas was a fiction Oil goes way further than your gas tank.
It actually goes into the products your
women rub into their faces. Or spread across the backsides of your babies.
Oil is an international commodity controlled by OPEC...and you are only a part of it.
Ultimately the oil markets decide the price of the products you are offered.
Happily more and more are non oil based, but are plant based.
In the not too distant future that will prove the need for your oil less ans less important.
There are already massive fields of biofuel crops making oil irrelevant.
Hint. Invest in those. I already use plant based products as do millions plus of people and are happy with them.

I often drive from my home to San Antonio, about 120-130 miles away. I pass through endless oil fields on private lands that are still pumping away. There are huge tanks along the way where the oil is brought and stored. Trucks from oil companies line up at these tanks to take the oil to the refinery where other tankers await the finished gasoline for local distribution. The oil never goes overseas. Heck, it never gets very far from Texas. It doesn't influence the price of gas in your nation... it doesn't effect the price of your margarine either. But it sure does keep OUR prices down. That's why gas in California is now $8 and its still under $3 here.

The oil may not move .
The price does. Across the globe which needs oil to futnodj thousands of markets via different requirements.
If you think oil only goes into vehicles, you don't really understand the oil markets.
The idea that oil is only used for vehicles is the most simplistic way to value an asset.

Oil is sold here from the field (I've watched it be done). It is sold to the refineries directly (I've watched it be done). The finished product is then sold to the wholesalers locally. Can you name the law that forces these folks to pay prices set elsewhere if it never crosses state lines, let alone national lines? Can you name that law? Please name that law.
The market MAY come into play with market conditions. But with oil and fuel now having to be trucked to distance markets due to Biden's stopping pipelines, it is much more lucrative to avoid transportation costs and do everything locally. Again, can you name the LAW that compels local producers, refiners and distributors from doing this? It would obviously cost more to transport... so why do it? And unless you can name a LAW that would FORCE them to do this... you have no argument.

Your point that many Democrats find it effective to tie Republican candidates to the Loser-in-Denial implicated in multiple civil and criminal investigations is taken.

As long as he persists in trashing democratic elections, blowing vendetta gas at his grievance jamborees, and showcasing his contempt for national security, I expect that he will not be ignored.

Were he to man up and accept his defeat in 2020 and the will of the People, he'd still face serious charges, but many Americans would be happy to see justice take its course without all the partisan hoopla from either Party.

The allegiance to the Loser by so many election deniers and his persisting in spewing his lies makes ignoring the threat to American democracy irresponsible.

Many Republicans seem to be disgusted by his egomaniacal, grievance-driven agenda and would much prefer to focus upon the nation's future, but his constantly whining victimhood prevents them from doing so. Many were disgusted by his goon attack on Congress in their attempt to deny the will of the People being certified.

I do not "harp" about charges. As I have previously noted, I am glad to see the truth being exposed (especially by so many Republican officeholders and Trump regime insiders of integrity in their sworn testimony before The U.S. House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol), and whatever prosecutions result are of no particular significance to me.

    Prepare yourself for more revelations:

So you are not going to stop harping on him and proclaiming WE GOT HIM NOW.

More? What have we learned that we didn't already know? For what legislative purpose is all this "learning"? As I have previously cited to you

"....may wonder whether Congress had authority to issue that subpoena. Yesterday, the United States Supreme Court shed light on that question in its decision in Trump v. Mazars USA, LLP, Nos. 19-715 & 19-760.

The Court’s Decision After describing the history of how subpoena-based disputes between Congress and various presidents have been resolved, the Court discussed the basis for—and limits to—Congress’s subpoena power. Specifically, the Court affirmed that Congress’s subpoena power cannot be used for law enforcement purposes. In other words, Congress cannot use its subpoena authority to put someone on trial for a crime or wrongdoing, nor does Congress have the “power to expose for the sake of exposure.” Slip Op. at 12. Indeed, the Court confirmed that congressional investigations used solely to “punish” those investigated would be “indefensible.” Not only that, the Court reinforced the limitations to the subpoena power, including that the subpoena must serve a “valid legislative purpose,” and is proper only if it is “related to, and in furtherance of, a legitimate task of Congress.” Slip Op. at 11. In addition, the Court reaffirmed that those subject to a congressional subpoena have both constitutional and common law privileges—including attorney-client privilege—against the subpoena."
    https://jenner.com/system/assets/pu...s_Congressional_Subpoena_Power.pdf?1594417043

As I have cited Congressional subpoenas must be for LEGISLATIVE purposes.

I can't stop asserting "We got him now!" because I never made such an assertion. His being exposed is an ongoing process.

If the Loser continues to crap upon democracy by attacking the legitimacy of American elections wherever the People do not vote as he insists they should, and the American judicial system as he becomes pissy over all legitimate legal recourses that refuse to dignify his lies, he will continue to make himself newsworthy, and will continue to be discussed.

If he had summoned the testicular fortitude to accept the truth, he would have been consigned to oblivion long ago.

You Got things confused and reversed again Natty - it is the cancelling of the abilty to question the legitimacy of an election that is "crapping" on democracy. So lost this progressive Blue wave .. have no idea up from down anymore .. what used to be black is now white.

Blue used to be anti-war - now the new Neocons
Blue was pro environment -- now the Political Bandwagon - "Not in my Back Yard -- Dump it in the Ocean" policy
Blue used to be pro ACLU -- Blue now hates freedom of speech .. control via cancel culture the new norm .. cancel what we disagree through physical violence and coersion ..

The list goes on - what a disaster .. so bad .. a Reality TV Show Clown looks better by comparision .. Reminds me of when Italy elected a Porn Star.. This the fault of people like you .. going along with this Charade .. folks too smart to be acting so ..$#% ..

Not sure what to attribute this phenom to .. best I can reckon is that they getting very skilled at the art of propagandas .. and have managed to dumb down a generation or more . such that a critical mass of a sort been achieved.. those who are older but didn't know better got sucked along in to the mud... this happening on both sides member.. got the mud pail on the one side .. and the mud pail on the other.. the folks paint themselves with it - .. thats how you can tell who's been in there wallowing around.

The Loser was accorded his right to exhaust all legitimate recourses to question the election - recounts, audits, dozens of court challenges - and no evidence to establish the fraudulence of the election could be contrived. All fifty states certified their results, and none are being contested.

The Loser then resorted to illegitimate attempts to nullify democracy and thwart will of the People - his goons' attack on Congress, his intimidation of Republican governors, secretaries of state, poll workers, his fake elector scheme, etc.

The Loser persists in wee-weeing up his weird worshipers at his grievance jamborees by lying to them about the certified election.
