These weird sounds in your head that you're complaining about seem to affect your ability to find the correct term. It's not called "excuse", the correct legal term is acquittal. That's what happens to innocent people in the US, they don't get "excused', they get acquitted.

You can also call it exoneration although it's not a legal term. Trump was exonerated by Mueller report, your ilks' weird visions of him being frogged-marched out of the WH notwithstanding and he is going to be found innocent and exonerated by the Senate.

FYI, the Mueller Report does not exonerate Trump on obstruction charges. Did you even read it?

Let me help and explain how things really work - a criminal investigation that closes without charging the target of the investigation and without recommending charges against the target of the investigation DOES ABSOLUTELY EXONERATE (not a legal term) the target of the investigation. In this case the result of the investigation was thoroughly reviewed by the DOJ which confirmed that no crimes were committed.
