Is obstructing a lie a bad thing?

Yes. It would.... Except he couldn't use that word. That's the point.

If it was a clear cut as you say it is, then he might as well have used the word. The OLC opinion doesn't say anything about not being able to use the word "guilty." Those thousand (or whatever) former prosecutors make it clear that in their opinion Trump would be charged with obstruction of justice. Aren't you confused why they all didn't simply say that Muller makes it clear in his report that Trump is guilty and should be charged with obstruction?

Then why did Mueller tell Barr that he was NOT saying, that but for the OLC opinion he would've found obstruction?

And why do you suppose that these 1,000 former federal prosecutors didn't say that they are simply agreeing with Mueller that Trump is guilty?

You've been misinformed by right wing media on this matter. The focus should be on one question. Does Mueller's report contain evidence sufficient to sustain charges of obstruction of justice committed by Trump. The answer is yes. Everything else is just noise meant to muddy the waters.

The answer is no. Two problems - no underlying crime, and justice wasn't obstructed. He wanted to be done with the Mueller investigation but it didn't happen. Bring charges. They will go nowhere.

Over and over you folks have to be reminded an underlying crime is not a necessary predicate for obstruction of justice to occur yet you continue to repeat the falsehood it does.
It's difficult to advance a debate past the initial stages when you folks refuse to stipulate to the facts.

I didn't say you couldn't bring charges. I actually invited you to. I said it would go nowhere. Those are facts you failed to notice when you responded.

There was no crime to investigate and Mueller said he was not obstructed in his investigation. Convince a jury of a crime with all of that.

He did. That's what he told Barr.
