your example is after you are convicted of a felony, not after you commit one.
nothing happens unless you get caught

Semantics? Lol. Ok. He did say felon. Not a felon until a jury says so, amiright? He is free to kill away with careless abandon until caught, has been read his Miranda rights, finds a lawyer, goes to trial, arguments with evidence are presented, and jury makes a determination. Once a CONVICTED felon, until all those things happen, no gun.

some of you argue for the sake of argument. Does every pst need to go through all the steps? I left out discovery; is that an issue?

Like I said "In prison" = constitutional, "not in prison" = not constitutional. Of course no guns includes being under arrest/held/jail.

well if you are just looking for an argument, ok,
no one specified a time frame, if they were caught, after time served, before time served, you are on extremely thin ice with this nonsense.

And still, no one looks at the affect that 24-7 news coverage has on copy-cat shootings. Kill the 2nd amendment but Freedom of the Press is sacred.

So you want more laws even though the laws that already exist are being ignored and not enforced..
We already have a law making it illegal to shoot someone for no good reason. Start with enforcing the laws we have before you start talking about more worthless ones

It's too early to tell, but it may have involved gang violence.

I've read many stories of gang members shooting members of rival gangs, and then later blatantly and brazenly entering the hospital to finish off the job, after they found out that person they shot was not dead.

If this is true, then illegal immigration and the Southern border with Mexico probably has something to do with this.

All you've done is mention three chemicals. That is not a bomb. That's equivalent to saying all you need for an atomic bomb is uranium

You write it's too early to tell but straight away you blame illegal immigrants from Mexico! Over 1000 miles away

    Well, if it's gang violence.

And it's not quite 1000 miles away, it is only 800 miles to the border.

You can read this article that concerns the city of Tulsa:
Watch Now: Gang feuds fueling increase in shootings, police say | Crime News | tulsaworld.com

I do partially take my comments back. It looks like the gangs in Tulsa are about an equal mix of Black and Mexican, and there are even a few White trash gang members too, which is pretty unusual in most other parts of the country.

They say Tulsa is at the "drug crossroads" of America, which partially fuels the problems.

Yes, it probably is gang violence but that does not mean it must be related to illegal immigrants. And the border is over 1000 miles by road.

I could only read the first few lines of your link before a banner came across. In those first few seconds I did not see anything about illegal immigrants

The point is they have drug and gang violence issues there.

The drugs are coming from Mexico.

So still nothing to do with illegal immigrants. The drugs would not come if Americans did not arrange for that import of drugs

Ps just seen your edit above which is fair enough

Anyway, my take on this event is that it was gang related. The shooter was threatened that if he did not kill who ever he killed, his family will be attacked/killed. This would have lead to his suicide after the attack as he knew that he would be killed anyway by the gang members on either side

Okay, but it does have something to do with the porous border.

Good point. Nitroglycerine, TNT and such are banned substances, which even I, as a Chemist, would only be able to buy for my lab with special permissions to justify use. Isn't that an infringement on "freedom", namely that law-abiding citizens can't buy explosives for their own use? Why are such bans of explosives tolerated by society, but AR15 bans are not?

It was one guy with a rifle, so I'm not sure how you concluded its about illegal immigration.

Also, gangs usually target other gangs, not doctors and nurses.

Laws are always about people, - the gun owners in this case.

No as I said they can’t ban them however if they get a liberal SCOTUS they can interpret the second any way they want and justify neutering the second down to essentially nothing.
