If you think this is over, you got another think coming.

The Equal Protection Clause means that "the government must have important or compelling reasons to justify the discrimination, and the discrimination must be carefully tailored to serve those reasons." (https://constitutioncenter.org/interactive-constitution/interpretation/amendment-xiv/clauses/702 )

Reynolds v. Sims (1964), the Supreme Court
Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment

    https://www.thirteen.org/wnet/supremecourt/rights/print/landmark_reynolds.html

Stand back and stand by because President Trump will get his day in court.

A judge just threw the latest Dirty Donald suit out of court today trying to discount every mail in ballot by Pennsylvanians and deny them their constitutional rights. I believe they have now exhausted all avenues to challenge in Pa.

What constitutional right, the only constitutional issue is equal protection under the law. Is allowing Democrat districts to "cure" ballots but not Republican equal protection?

This looks like an internal state dispute. Trump has no standing. Not sure what you think resolving this will accomplish. It has nothing to do with equal protection. The case will decide whether the SoS can legally override the legislature. It's not going to change anything. And who is filing such a case? I thought this was already determined.

No, to cure issues of equal protection we have always extended rights to others — not taken them from the group that has benefited.

I support all voters being allowed to cure ballots, as well as anyone wanting to mail in vote have the ability to do so.
Agree? Or is the goal just voter suppression?

    Exactly.

The OP clearly misunderstands the Equal Protection clause.

So then you agree with the Trump campaign lawsuit about the disparity in allowing Dems to cure ballots but Reps not? If you are going to choose mail in voting then the responsibility is on you to get it in the mail in time and track it to make sure it is received in time as set by the state legislature and was filled out properly and if not you should not be coddled by election officials or judges. It's why I don't.

Equal protection applies to state election laws. One of the reasons the SCOTUS stopped the selective recounts when Gore was delaying for 37 days was it denied equal protections to those voters in the counties which were not ordered to do hand recounts and there was no statewide standard to conduct them.

    Oh well.

    Biden Won/TRUMP LOST.

I think the system worked as intended...
...(and the Courts would NOT find any sort of "Equal Protection" violation).

Just one time, it might be helpful if you either:

    1. Read the OP article completely
    2. Didn't misrepresent it.... Only you can know if this is deliberate or obtuseness...

    No kidding.
That was ONE State and 537 Votes.

"Equal Protection" doesn't apply to the example in the OP. Period.

No I do not agree with it — their goal is to reduce rights. They should be pushing for all ballots being allowed to be cured.

From what I understand, the ability to "cure" a ballot is set by the county. Other counties weren't prevented from having curing measures in place, they just didn't enact them.

Just because I'm ultra bored 30 mins before sacking out, I checked a little more into the claims in this article..

I believe the argument is (and I'm not as senile as Rudy, so I'm just spitballing) that even though ALL Pa counties were given the same guidance at the same time, some decided not to utilize it, making this unfair for Trump somehow.

They list 14 counties that utilized the advice and tried to cure their mail in ballots... Here they are, with their current vote pcts for the county winner.

    Bedford - Trump 83.5%
    Bucks - Biden 51.7%
    Cambria - Trump 68.1%
    Carbon - Trump 65.4%
    Greene - Trump 71.2%
    Huntingdon - Trump 74.8%
    Jefferson - Trump 78.7%
    Montgomery - Biden 62.6%
    Northumberland - Trump 68.4%
    Philadelphia - Biden 81.4%
    Pike - Trump 59%
    Potter - Trump 79.9%
    Tioga - Trump 74.7%
    Venango - Trump 70%

    Clearly, Trump was disadvantaged here....

    More ridiculous nonsense...

Its speaks so loudly that Republicans constantly works to make voting more difficult, expensive, inaccessible and so much else to make voting harder for the blue color working and poor, while the Republicans have access tailor-made for themselves.

Look at the Governors decision to send ballots in order to help voters out IN A WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC!

Did he sent it to "special interests", or Democrats, or the old or the young or the poor or the rich or Hispanics or Blacks or Women and the Republicans IMMEDIATELY filed a lawsuit against him?

No. He sent ballots to ALL voters!

And in this thread, Republicans are filing lawsuits to ban curing ballots, even though ALL voters have the same cure ability in those precincts, even though most were Republican areas!

Republicans should be ashamed! Republicans really do seem to hate Democracy!
