In-****ing-deed. Why are you bringing up a war prior to the existence of weapons that allow for the mitigation of civilian casualties?

Fear is a tool used to control people. Don't be fooled into fear.

 

Not for the past two years. Trump has not agreed to more of it. But let the Democrats get back in charge and they have a few thousand more laws in mind they want to add to our burden.

My point is that tactics are dictated by the weapons of the day. The weapons of Sherman's day didn't have the ability to be target discriminating.

 

What laws are there already forcing you to comply with your fear?
What laws in the future would you refer to?

I have always said the R passed law, the Patriot Act, was one of the biggies that took away basic human freedoms.
Do you support that law that allows for spying on us?

 

What next? Do we ban Romeo and Juliet because she was only 12? Burn copies of Lolita? Ban gone with the wind because Rhett sweeps Scarlet up the stairs?

 

Or ban the likes of Tom Sawyer?

I don't believe that statues should be vandalized. This addition, however - as you suggest, updates the message of the statue. When it was first erected, it depicted a time. With the #metoo added to it, it makes the statue current and historically relevant.
