Then you haven't really looked in to it. Those of us on the Left who support the 2A believe in root cause mitigation. That is a concept that is alien to conservatives because it involves mental health screening, poverty mitigation, and ending the War On Drugs. Will that prevent every shooting? No. But it would severely curtail them.

 

They're not doing anything. Nobody came and shot up Walmart because they sell .223 ammo. And it's nothing because I can go to another retailer and buy it. Not only are they not doing anything they can't do anything.

 

Are you kidding? Those of us on the right have been constantly telling you, it's not the gun but the nutball shooters.

 

They did do something. They forced you to buy elsewhere. One day, there might be no elsewhere.

 

And yet, you continually refuse to fund mental health initiatives that could potentially reduce mass shootings. You can't admit that it is a mental health issue, then refuse to fund mental health issues.

I think what he's saying is that one day humans will evolve past the need to kill each other. That's the only thing he could possibly be saying. Because there's always a black market anywhere where things are bad there is a black market for those things.

Initiatives won't do anything. what you would have to do to know if someone's going to go on a rampage and kill a bunch of people is you would have to be psychic. Or you would have to repeal liberty. The former is not possible because psychics don't exist. In the latter will result in a far greater death toll.
