the above sentence is all that one needs to read. Despite there being zero medical tests that one is "born homosexual", leftists push on. For any kid who approaches their parents and says that they are thinking of dabbling in some gay-sex, the parents cannot seek the help that the child so desperately needs. In the same state, it's OK to give a child hormone blockers to try and change their sex, but not OK to get treatment when a child may be confused sexually.

We're talking about a sex act, not how one is born (like their sex)

 

If a person believes they can become straight in some manner, who are the progressives to deny them that right ?

What's simpler; trying to make your feelings conform to your body, or mutilating your body to conform to your mind ? They should have the choice.

 

As you can see from the OP, so long as they are above the age of consent, no one is stopping them.

 

It's not consistent; if a minor boy is permitted to hack off their genitals to become a woman, they should have the right to seek therapy to avoid it.

 

You are conflating homosexual with transgender. They aren't the same thing. Also, I'm pretty sure Washington state, as a general rule, also requires someone to be 18 years of age for that kind of surgery.

Let's say a 15 year old boy is having gay thoughts but wants to be attracted to women so he can marry one and have kids the natural way. What's wrong with that ? Why wait until 18 if he wants to change it ?

Then if someone wants to offer a relatively safe, reliably successful, responsible service that lets him do that, go for it. "Conversion therapy" doesn't fit in that category.

natural means they didn't choose to be gay - it's what they are.

If there were great advancements in therapy or even medication, maybe. Currently, no.
If, though, I wanted to have therapy to try and become gay, I should have that right.
