Seems like a big deal that Ukraine Ambassador Taylor just testified that the Ukrainians themselves had no knowledge of a hold on military aid until the politico article (August 29), which was after Trump's phone call.

Remember this is all about a quid pro quo phone call according to the whistleblower.

From what I've seen so far Democrats main arguments are National Security and using Congressial approved aid. National Security arguments problem is the aid in the prior administration was less than what this administration has given(lethal aide). The problem with using Congressial approved aid is Biden did the same to oust a prosecutor.

Weird question I have about the last prosecutor being removed, Taylor and Kent told us he was corrupt but they also said the entire country was corrupt so why single out the prosecutor for doing what everyone in Ukraine was doing? Seems like there is more to that story

I am interested also, I am usually fairly center left but absolutely hate trump because of his rhetoric and character so my opinion is less than impartial. Most people I know are staying the course with their ideology — republicans are saying its a sham and democrats are saying impeach.

 

To their knowledge. Others will almost certainly testify that Ukraine was aware of the hold much sooner. And there is the potential that others, like Giuliani, if allowed to testify, could testify that he told about that information much sooner.

It should also be noted that the military aid was only one of the points of leverage used by the Trump administration to pressure Ukraine into announcing that investigation.
