We have transitioned to herd immunity

From what I hear, to achieve 80% immunity, which is the least percentage to stop the viral chain reaction will be around 2021 at the end, or 2022 beginning.

This will have deaths ramp up till we are at a horrifying maximum. Trump has already told red states to stop stat availability of hotspots. They are not giving old folk homes or meat packing plant death rates.

We are going to have the wool pulled over our eyes. The SOCALLED coronavirus task force, has been transformed into STRICTLY a get to work squad. Trump is again saying it will disappear by magic. That magic being his misdirection. Perhaps he will put Obama on trial for treason. What is clear is, Trump is going to make finding out about deaths, as hard as finding your local polling place in a red state.

That he says testing is for sissies, and makes others think we are pansies, and have created NO provision for contact tracing, tells us all we need to know. We are going rogue. We will be at the worst possible curve. And there will be asymptomatic spreaders in every city and town.

Those vulnerable, will have to brave perhaps 10 times the risk. The idiotic rant of, let the healthy do as they please, as keeping them home is fascist, but keeping the vulnerable in prison is glorious freedom, is bunk. It is not simply a choice. When all quarantine, all are less likely to be infected, by orders of magnitude.

Trump has stopped any guidelines that will warn us of dangers. He wants us fully ignorant of risk.

This means, that for at least a year, we will be spreading at full race pace. And it is likely that spreading will continue to be geometrically increasing.

We have no idea who is immune, and will not test those without symptoms. We will not test, those without symptoms, to determine who should be quarantined, FOR REAL.

All so Trump can win reelection. This amounts to fraud, and purposeful and reckless endangerment.

Trump has been ignoring truth and facts, and instead inserting what he wants people to believe. When he lies, he calls that JUSTIFIED, as he is a cheerleader.

We are likely to see 500000 deaths, if not the 2 million originally theorized. . We are likely to have hotspots lockdown sporadically, which is far worse than intentional organized ones.

The elderly know full well what is up. We are to be part of a national coronavirus infection party. And staying locked down will not stop the plague infecting us, as was seen in NYC.

Who in their right mind, will send their parents to old folks homes? Who will work at meat plants?

We are all about to learn the hard way. Trump turned a pandemic into a partisan fight, where his troops are ready to kill, and think libs are full blown communists that must be wiped out.

This is a shitshow nightmare, and we will be seen as fools, lead by the king of fools.

Those that want their freedom, have deemed THEIR lives worth far more than the wastril elderly. We have a president, that thinks his supporters lives are worth something, even as he scams them, and no value for the rest of us.

Trump, and trump supporters are condemning the elderly and vulnerable to death. And all others that will die at the luck of their DNA draw.

That idiot on Fox and friends, even said, have courage, and go GET INFECTED, to SPEED the herd immunity. The most irresponsible people, go to gatherings that include a covid19 infected guest, to infect as many as possible. Those people think their rights supersede alll the rest of us. They also don't think they should payfor our healthcare they are necessitating for the rest, nor burial expenses or funerals.

We have been recruited for an experiment that we will not be made privy to. Nor will the death tolls be debated. We will be kept stupid and told it is fine.

In addition, we will be told that the economy is roaring.

I would prefer any other country than this one, with these irresponsible fools running this experiment. Even Sweden is not sociopathic, just wrong, we are both.

There is also the possibility, that this level of viral activity will allow further far more deadly mutations, that will ratchet up the death tolls beyond our imagining.

But hey, the black plague cleared out enough people for the renaissance. When all the dead are buried, Trump will declare himself the economy wizard. As there will be enough jobs for all.

Herd immunity is what the ignorant did, not knowing a thing about disease. We are relegated to 18th century science and medicine. And telling our learned men to keep their mouths shut.

This is a crime against humanity. Lucky for the killers, we elderly and vulnerable cannot arm up with automatic weapons, and protest these decisions to kill us, for we are too afraid of infection.

Trump is a monster that will be clearly labeled as such, when history is written. And his supporters will be called bloodthirsty as well.

From the sound of it, when us elderly and vulnerables are dead, the gun freaks will finish the job with a nice snappy civil war.

The United States of America has become a nightmare, as we all knew it would, when the orange plague was selected.

 

Older folks are starting to realize that trump is talking about sacrificing them for the sake of his reelection. His support is falling away.

If you are in a high risk group you are just trumpian cannon fodder.

 

A lot of people are survivalist in general, but it's the cold hard facts of this virus(regardless of the election.) For many of the elderly and nursing homes(which have bore out to be a disproportionate amount of the virus), they don't have much longer anyway. As an asthmatic, I do have to be super careful but how much longer should I be cooped up in my own house? The next 1 1/2 years?

 

We have already reached herd immunity which is much lower than 80% and have already peaked about 20 days ago.

We have not reached anywhere near herd immunity. nowhere near. And Trump will not allow testing, to determine how close we are. HE WILL NOT ALLOW.

Once we peaked the widest spread of the virus already happened about 4 days prior. After the peak the R0 goes down. Anything 1 or less means it will dissipate.

 

First of all, we are NOT first in testing, and second, we do NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO testing of those without symptoms. NONE. therefore, we have no idea where we are at, and, Trump has made NO provision for contact tracing, NONE.

And to shame us out of wanting testing, he said it makes us look weak, and sissie, if we test. HIS WORDS.

Thanks to the Departmant of Homeland Security ruling that gun shops and ranges are essential businesses, I am not looking for work but thanks for asking.
Since the lockdown, the firearms business has been booming (pun intended) and oddly enough, our customers are first time owners and because we get to know a bit about them, it is hard to find one that did not lean left.

One would hope that 1.5 years is a small percentage of your remaining lifetime, but as I sit here, going out for food once every week or two, I do get it..

More hopefully the White House plan for opening our economy has no requirement for a workig vaccine or for "herd immunity".

Unfortunately, we don't have the requirements for entering the first phase of that plan.

The primary deficit is testing capacity. And , I would add PPE, as surely it is immoral to allow more cases when our healthcare workers can't adequately protect themselves.
