If the color on one's skin is correlated to timely repayment of loans, it is completely rational.

That is why they fine banks who discriminate on loans. The fines make it rational to loan to blacks.

This leads me to believe you have never had a job. Applicants are called back for interviews. Even for minimum wage jobs. Most all large businesses have racial quotas they must meet or be fined.

Banks make money by making loans. They'll loan money to anyone, if they are pretty sure they'll get paid back. When they start noticing black borrowers pay late, or not at all, they'll still make the loans but at a higher interest rate to account for the additipnal risk. They've got pretty good actuaries at banks.

5 or 6 banks got fined a billion combined of their racist policies breaching the fair housing act.
That is about treating people different based on color as well as their financial situation.

That a lot of black people are more poor than white people, is a nice legacy of the old America's apartheid policy.
None the less,.. the banks did breached the law when judging their clients also by the color of the skin.
That their default rate is higher doesn't change a thing about their racist policies they applied,

You can even say that since banks give black people a higher rate, makes them go bust easier than others.
Add to that, the discrimination of their names, a lesser service in hospitals and a bigger punishment in jails...
that all adds that they are more poor and go bust faster.

No personal attack. A supposition you are unfamiliar with US hiring practices.

The black mortgage scandal was the result of several things. Banks were also being pressured to boost home financing for minorities. Even when they were less financially qualified. Government programs to assist minority buyers were mismanaged and crooked.
Today lending is completely different. The criteria for approval and terms is no longer as flexible as it was. Everyone plays by the same rules.

NOBODY made banks charge black people higher interest rates than white people just because the color of their skin.
It's utterly insane to pin this on "the government". It's the banks who did this. Period. The end.

 

This is absolute nonsense. Annually an average of less than 300,000 women and blacks have been provided one-time assistance with Affirmative Action and all of those individuals were qualified regardless of whether it related to employment or education. As noted this is one-time assistance for the person while they are subjected to prejudice and discrimination throughout their entire lives.

The "right-wing" is really ignorant when it comes to understanding what Affirmative Action is, how it works, and how few people benefit from it.

 

Where can I sign up for white privilege? I have been missing out and would like to know. Are there places I can flaunt white privilege?
