no, when I look at the number of evil things this God has done to his "children" there is nothing that will change my point of view.

Interesting, I just glanced at the current poll results and Hitler at the top with 12 votes ???

Don't they teach history any more ? That's right it's PC revisionist history they teach today.

Hitler who was Time's magazine man of the year twice, who if he never would have invaded Poland would have gone down as one of the most accomplished leaders in history.

But if Hitler hadn't invaded Poland, Stalin would have eventually attacked Germany and I wonder if England would have joined Hitler and declared war on Uncle Joe ?

But Adolph was a liberal and inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.

Pol Pot #3 with 7 votes, seems some remember.

Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot were definitely evil, but I agree with Troianii that there is more to evil than body counts.

For that reason I'm going to have to throw out the names of two men who reveled in their cruelty. The first is the Roman emperor Caligula, and the second is a lesser known mass murderer whose cruelty is synonymous with the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution, Jean-Baptiste Carrier, who executed men, women and children alike:

Jean-Baptiste Carrier, of the Noyades de Nantes

You should do another poll and add Mao Tse Dung and Mohammed.

    I vote for Mohammed.

I prefer "committed" liberal, thank you, though there are some who think it refers to my mental state.

Why not Pol Pot? He killed a greater percentage of his own people in a shorter time than anyone else on the list. Also, he was a pure hippy Unibomber type commie. I put him on just so the conservatives would be happy

Nah, Khloe, Kim's at least pretty, in a rich (*)(*)(*)(*)(*), slutty sort of way. Khloe's just "Khloe smash". I can't abide women who look like they can beat me up, as it really obviates the rape fantasies.

It is no single person. There are probably hundreds or thousands of people who are tied for first place. Some of them just had more influence, power, and fame than others, and such figureheads often take all of the blame for the actions perpetrated by the countless evil people who work in their name.

The most evil people who ever lived were the theocratic torturers of europe in the middle ages, who used the most sadistic torture methods imaginable upon innocent people who were the least deserving of it- people whose so-called 'crimes' consisted only of abortion, adultery, blasphemy, heresy, and witchcraft, and the many people who were falsely accused of such acts, such as wealthy people who did not donate to the church, and women who were deemed too alluring and therefore falsely accused as witches. The inquisition and the witch hunts were of course a big part of this.

All of such sadistic methods of torture, in themselves, are perfectly justifiable in certain cases- namely, when they are applied to the theocratic torturers themselves. Now that cloning technology is available, we have a moral imperative to seek out the bodily remains of the theocratic torturers, and clone them back to life, for the sole purpose of torturing the sh-- out of them until the cows come home, via the exact same methods, so as to create massive amounts of justice to compensate for the massive amounts of injustice that they have created. The theocratic torturers' behavior was caused by their neuropsychological traits (in particular, a strong desire to assert dominance), which were in turn caused by their particular genetic alleles, which means that they would have the same character as they did in their previous life hundreds of years ago. If there is any doubt about their character, there are various ways of assessing and testing them, so as to be sure.

I'd judge evil by overall intent, not just body count. I'm not an expert on the subject either but according to psychologists the "sadistic" psychopaths are the most evil variety.

Like in Reservoir Dogs - the characters in that film killed people for money, but were still repulsed by Mr. Blonde because he was a sadist and tortured and killed people for the pure thrill of it.

I'd rank someone like Josef Mengele in the same category as a lot of serial killers even though Mengele killed more people, because the intent was the same.

Karl Marx. He is the antichrist. Without Marx, there is no Hitler, no Stalin, no Lenin, no Mao, no Mussolini, no Che Guevara, no Pol Pot, no Castro, no Chavez, no Bernie Sanders....... pretty much every bad guy in the history of the world just disappears.

    Or Kanye West.

There is something which always shocks me in these polls ... that Mr. Other ... sooner or later someone has to tell me who is that guy!

A bit of humor a part, I think that in the list Pol Pot is the bad guy [not to say that the others were saints!!!].

Hitler was guided by an absolute ideological evil,
Stalin was guided by an absolute rational evil [in the interest of the People he exterminated the People!] ...
Pol Pot was guided by pure evil ...

    *sigh*

Hitler was not driven by evil, he was driven by power and eventually went crazy from syphilis. (Not a single document relates him to a single death camp)

Stalin was evil, he killed millions because he had the ability including his own son.

Still, my previous answer stands to the most evil person in recorded history.

    How about......
if the principle of "forgiven much..... love much"
turns out to be a psychological absolute........ when infinite time and Multiverse is taken into
    consideration?

    Luke 7:47
"Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."

Hideki Tojo who was the military commander of the Japanese Empire in WWII was the worst. The war crimes he committed against England, China, and the US were the worst in history. He was hanged by an International Tribunal in 1948.

    Papa Doc Duvalier.

In power from 1957, Papa Doc made voodoo the country's official religion and claimed to be Baron Samedi, the religion's spirit of death.

He often wore a top hat and tails while demanding the skulls of his dead victims were brought to his palace in Port-au-Prince.
