Who will win the coming DeSantis vs Trump Slap Fight

I don't know if its about Rubio as much as hosting the LIV (ran with Saudi Arabian blood money) golf tournament at his resort

 

In terms of authoritarian, statist domination of science, medicine, academia, business, and local autonomy, he's Trump's Mini Me, positioning himself as Trump's innocuous fart catcher, an ideal position for the stab in the back when the Loser stumbles.

I have been trying to make sense of all this and it's not working. I know that Trump doesn't like the idea that Biden won the election fairly but a true PRO-USA person would be able to put that aside and focus on calming the waters. Everything he does is about blaming somebody else for his shortcomings and grifting. He has put Xi, Putin, Saudi Arabia and NK above his own country.

The reality is Trump is not a leader. He's just a bully which is why there is a constant revolving door around him and he becomes more dangerous anytime anybody allows him near a microphone. This past weekend he said that the journalists that won't release the SCOTUS leaks should be raped in prison and his audience laughed. That's beyond sick. It's not funny or appropriate in any way.

It is beyond asinine for grown people to think that long-term, accomplished, educated, experienced and dedicated people are just going to quit their jobs on a whim. He has a mass exodus around him in every facet of life. I have no doubts that most people would back away if they knew someone personally with decades of legal judgments, multiple affairs, divorces, high turnover, extremely bad credit that feigns affection from dictators and had no qualms about conflicts of interests including millions of dollars under the table. He spins the dumbest lies on the planet.

I understand they like him but liking someone does not mean they are good choices for POTUS. Unlike Trump, Carter was very well liked by both sides but that doesn't mean he was a strong leader. Trump is literally hated around the world. Adults shouldn't have any issue distinguishing that and it bothers me that so many apparently do especially when the object of their affection don't care about them as is willing to burn the whole damn thing down over his ego.

 

I heard the Rubio thing but not the blood money golf event. That makes sense. Well, no, it doesn't make sense that his people keep overlooking all the things that prove his he is not pro-USA. /smdh

 

The anticipatory solace is ineluctable:

The noble tradition of peaceful transfers of power in which the nation had rightly taken pride will be restored.

Hopefully DeSantis, he would draw a line under the madness of the Trump years.

 

The GOP desperately wants a snippy authoritarian without the stenchy load of steaming offal.

He sees DeSantis as his biggest obstacle, which is why he is threatening him with consequences if he runs against him. I am fairly certain DeSantis will run even if its against Trump.

DeSantis because he will let a series of Republicans who have spent years being slapped by Trump, do his fighting for him. Trump has pissed off a LOT of republicans and they cannot wait to smell his blood in the water. At least for now, DeSantis can and should stay away from direct no holds barred interactions with Trump. He's winning doing that already.

By the way, Mitch is going to be Majority Leader/ Minority leader for yet another term, largely because he refused to directly engage Trump.

His only endorsement for him was one day before the election, for a house race, in Ohio.

 

DeSantis was polling very much in the lead in the Florida governor's race. Trump went to Ohio to stump for J.D. Vance 'cause Vance's race was close. Why are you making up this imaginary spat between Trump and DeSantis?
