The GOP is sick of the Cry Baby Loser.

Trump lost the GOP the House, Senate, and Presidency in one term, a hat trick no one had pulled off since Herbert Hoover.

His hand-picking losers in Georgia (twice?) and his bungling Pennsylvania away by his craving abject devotion were the last straw. Anointing his bum kissers rather than electable candidates has the Party big shots livid. Even his chief enabler Rupert Murdoch has dropped him like a radioactive turd.

The prospect of ongoing revelations of his sordid antics in various legal venues will mean Trump, as a recidivist presidential candidate, would be incessantly whining, lying about the past, playing his platinum victim card, and lashing out in petty vendettas.

That's not a prospect that Republicans need or want - especially when they have a fresh authoritarian upstart in the wings who mugged Mickey Mouse, fresh off a landslide in the Dangling Appendage State, with a subservient state legislature to spit polish his ugly-ass Bruno Maglis®.

The principle problem the RNC faces is how to keep Trump from savaging the promising aspirant as his principle grudge target in his loser grievance jamborees.

Hell hath no fury like a pathological narcissist scorned,

Trump faced unusual public attacks from across the Republican Party on Wednesday after a string of midterm losses by candidates he had handpicked and supported, a display of weakness as he prepared to announce a third presidential campaign as soon as next week.

As the sheer number of missed Republican opportunities sank in, the rush to openly blame Trump was as immediate as it was surprising.

Conservative allies criticized Trump on social media and cable news, questioning whether he should continue as the party’s leader and pointing to his toxic political brand as the common thread woven through three consecutive lackluster election cycles.

At this stage, skanky old Trump makes Stormy Daniels look like a blushing ingénue.

Yea, I'm sick of Trump. I'm surprised the Democrats aren't doing all they can to get him the 2024 nomination like they did in 2022 for the people he endorsed. He'll be easy pickings, even if he runs against Biden.

One day after the election, you have Ron DeSantis winning big in Florida, which was one of the few Republican success stories for the night. Not long after Trump is out bashing him. To hell with Trump.

I will never vote for him in the Republican primary. I'll write in Bugs Bunny first. If I want to vote for a clown I might as well vote for the real thing.

The only time I voted for him wasin the general election in 2020 and that was more a thumbing my nose at the incessant whining about the non-existent "national popular vote" for President and how the Dems win it but still lose.

How anyone could not trust this man in or out of office with America's top secrets is beyond me.
    :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Trump claims he sent the FBI to Florida to stop voter fraud in 2018. Officials say no such thing happened.
"Sarah Isgur, who was a top Justice Department spokesperson at the time, said Friday that the series of events described by the former president "never happened."

    Snip:

"Former President Donald Trump described in great detail Thursday night how he purportedly delivered a 2018 election win to now-Gov. Ron DeSantis by sending FBI agents to stop "ballot theft" in a major Florida county.

But officials on Friday indicated that the former president's account was a fabrication.

"Never happened," former Justice Department spokesperson Sarah Isgur tweeted Friday.

Her comment on Twitter was in response to Trump's statement about the Florida elections that year.

“[A]fter the Race, when votes were being stolen by the corrupt Election process in Broward County, and Ron was going down ten thousand votes a day, along with now-Senator Rick Scott, I sent in the FBI and the U.S. Attorneys, and the ballot theft immediately ended, just prior to them running out of the votes necessary to win. I stopped his Election from being stolen,” Trump wrote."

Trump lashes out at DeSantis and Virginia Gov. Youngkin as he readies 2024 launch in the week ahead
Published Sat, Nov 12 20229:09 AM EST | Updated 47 Min Ago

WASHINGTON — As former President Donald Trump readies for the planned launch Tuesday of his 2024 presidential campaign, he issued fresh broadsides against two Republican governors who emerged as early favorites to challenge him for his party’s nomination: Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin.

Trump’s attacks came as scores of Republican officials across the country placed the blame for their party’s disappointing results in Tuesday’s elections squarely on Trump’s doorstep.

″‘You’re fired!’ That’s the message Republicans must deliver to Donald Trump. ASAP!” said Republican New York Rep. Pete King, a longtime backer of Trump’s. “He held massive rallies where he ranted endlessly about himself, complained about the 2020 election and attacked other Republicans. It was Trump’s ego first, last and always,” King said in a tweet Thursday.

    ... https://www.cnbc.com/2022/11/12/trump-2024-campaign-trump-lashes-out-at-desantis-and-youngkin-.html

I see he is taking pot shots at DeSantis and Youngkin, and that there is some budding resistance in the establishment and among Republican voters here to be rid of Trump, but knowing him, he won't give up easily or go quietly.

I also watched a good Young Turks video earlier where Cenk argued that Trump will essentially 'shoot the hostage' and take the GOP down with him if they don't nominate him by running as an independent and/or telling his MAGA base not to vote for whomever gets nominated. I don't know about that, but I do see quite a fight ahead as Trump clearly does not want to give up the money and power that his position in politics, and within the GOP in particular, has brought him. Even though he has dragged the party down for three elections in a row so far, he is far too selfish to walk away unless he is forced to, and there is no telling how big a mess he might make in response to that.

He should be on the Russian payroll for spreading this kind of disinformation. Then again, maybe he is.

Trump got his big, flabby arse spanked in the midterms, and will be mired in multiple legal exposés for the foreseeable future, as he lashes out at potential GOP presidential nominees, DeSantis, Youngkin, Pence, etc.

"You look all over the country, there’s a very high correlation between MAGA candidates and big losses, or at least dramatically under-performing,” Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa.
A kvetching, deluded old narcissist on a losing streak does not appear to be what the GOP has in mind for 2024.

His incoherence is amusing, though, but I don't think there is a chance of Democrats getting him nominated.

Trump turns rage on Va. Gov. Youngkin, says name 'sounds Chinese'

Americanized form of German Juncken or Jünken, patronymics from the Low German personal name Juncke .
    Drumpf/Drump
is the palatine dialect version of the German word 'Trumpf' or 'Trump' - Cockney slang for 'fart.'

It's no wonder that Trump's "Truth Social" page has been pulled down for a convenient "scheduled maintenance" .

Out came those old dog collars.

Smart move. ignore the blithering idiot.

'DeSantis reportedly 'distancing' himself from Trump as rumblings of a potential 2024 White House run grow louder: 'There's no upside to rolling around in the mud with Trump'
    Taylor Ardrey

    Snip:

"Ron DeSantis is ignoring Donald Trump's recent jabs against him, and the Florida governor has begun disassociating himself from the ex-president, according to The New York Post.

"There is no upside to rolling around in the mud with Trump at this point," the DeSantis source told the right-leaning outlet. "Only downside."

The source continued: "He'll continue to govern effectively, build his war chest and elevate himself in the minds of Republican voters. If he's seen getting things done while Trump wails in the background, that's a win," according to the report"

Trump's egomaniacal agenda does not allow for the interests of the Republican Party. Petty sniping at potential GOP presidential nominees will continue to pleasure the weird worshipers.

Meanwhile, celebrants of democracy should be sensitive to the plight of the vanquished.

Since Trump is a Democrat, and always has been,
I'd say Trump, because democrats tend to be in prisons and in jails, and do illegal things a lot more often then Republicans. lol.

That's one form of denial, I guess, but so many Republican senators, congressman, and media propagandists being shameless Trumpy lickspittles becomes all the more amazing.

DeSantis Surges Past Trump in Texas GOP 2024 Poll

Florida governor Ron DeSantis led former president Donald Trump by eleven points in a new poll of likely Republican primary voters by the Republican Party of Texas.

The survey, conducted by CWS Research on November 12 and 13 among likely GOP voters statewide, asked respondents, “If the upcoming 2024 Republican Primary for president were held today, and the candidates were Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, Mike Pompeo, Nikki Haley and Mike Pence, for whom would you vote?”

Forty-three percent of respondents said they would support DeSantis, while Trump followed in second with 32 percent of the vote. Thirteen percent of respondents said they were undecided, while 5 percent said they would support Pence.

When voters were ask to choose a candidate from that same group, minus Trump, 66 percent of voters said they would support DeSantis, 16 percent said they would be undecided, 8 percent said they’d support Pence and 5 percent said they’d support Haley.

Let's hope this continues. It's time to turn the page on presidential candidates who are in their late 70s or older. The goes for Trump, Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.

And, yes, I'm 73, and I have no intention of becoming a politician at this late date.

Yes, it might be day our country got flushed down the toilet.

We might be able to save it if Trump and Mitch McConnell get out of the way. One has a brand name that has become politically toxic, and the McConnell would rather lose elections to keep his power. Both have egos that are bigger than the Grand Canyon. Both are over 75 years old and need to go.

Trump has revealed his DeSantis strategy:

Whether he uses the same vilification of all he fears will run for the GOP nomination remains to be seen.

Why in hell does anyone use the term "pedophile" when referring to teens and high school students?
They should all know better, especially journalists.

That said, I think many of us can agree that there's something there about DeSanits...like the guy "doth protest too much".

As more Republicans get into the 2024 race, Trump’s chances improve. Many Trump supporters are fanatical about him. They would walk though fire to vote him. The anti-Trump vote will be split. It’s shame that all of these “want to bes” are insisting upon running.

There is a formidable, largely silent, opposition to Trump in the GOP political hierarchy, among fat cat conservative donors, and evangelicals with a moral inkling, that will do whatever is needed to prevent the chronic loser from being the nominee.
