Same reason every place I ever worked frowned on sleeping with your coworkers. They are their to do the countries business not prey upon staff.

I suspect you are right about the rule. Not sure it is sufficient justification for removing an elected representative from office.
I opposed the impeachment of Bill Clinton for the same reasons.
IMO, any victims of Hill's sexually aggressive behavior should call the police or file lawsuits while Hill serves out her term.

 

Members of the House of Representatives are there to represent their district and the voters who elected them - and the USA.
Elections are the best way to get rid of the bad ones.

 

She just disenfranchised, and betrayed the voters who elected her to represent them.

Make it real short and simple she is a sexual predator, because she doesn't look like Harvey Weinstein does not make that okay.

 

It is not okay, and if there are any real victims out there we have a criminal justice system to address their complaints.
Removing an elected official from office with salacious sexual misconduct charges seems anti-Democratic and destabilizing to me.

 

The history of this goes back beyond Bob Packwood. The earliest story I can remember was a long serving democratic house member running one of the top committees who was caught drunk in the Washington square fountain cavorting with a prostitute or stripper probably both.

 

A little selective surveillance could probably get most of our DC solons a lot of copy in the tabloids.
Elections seem like the best way to deal with these scandals if the police and lawsuits are not an option.

Huh? Only thing I understood from the above is "the only thing". Not the "only thing", of course. His comments about sexual attraction to his own daughter, his "fun vidoes with Epstein, the likely "Golden Showers" Party in Moscow... and on and on... I mean... If the poster were actually "terrorized" about the Hill episode, he'd be a hypocrite if he didn't feel the same (at a minimum) about Trump....

 

I don't have the answer to this. I get that she put herself in a difficult position by being involved with a staff member. I do however believe what she and her husband do in their personal life is their own business. Her problem was making the decision to get involved with her own staff.

 

If you're interested in the details of Trump's sexual activities, look up his 25 sexual misconduct accusations. I'm not interested. I just know that anybody now is "scandalized" about Congresswoman Hill would be a hypocrite to support Trump.

Oh... and read the Dossier. I don't know if there are details there about his Golden Showers party, but if Trump's sex life is your fancy, I'm sure you'll probably find that part exiting.

 

Because as with all groups from the political Left.. it isn't about their stated goals or concerns.. it's about having a weapon to wield power against their perceived enemies on the Right.
