Why do Democrats move to red states and vote Democrat?

It's no secret there has been mass migration from Democrat states to Red states. States like California, New York, and Illinois have lost hundreds of thousands of people who have packed up their belongings and moved to states like Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee.

The question is, why vote for the same policies you ran away from?

I see people want to turn "Texas blue", but a lot of those people moved TO Texas from their backwards liberal states, presumably because crime, cost of living, or taxation drove them out of their previous homes. They then move to red states and vote for policies that encourage crime, increasing the cost of living, or taxation.

Why is it always blue moving into red states, and not the other way around? People are fleeing Illinois, California, New York in record numbers.

And how can we keep Democrats from spreading so they dont **** up the country for everyone else, and are forced to live through their own stupid political choices.

There is a very real possibility that I will move back to Wiconsin at some point, I was raised their have friends/ family there. Montana is gorgeous, as is Colorado. Have some family in Arizona, may go their to retire. Politics would way in very little in any of those decisions.

As to OP question, because their gov-edu-union-contractor-grantee-trial lawyer-MSM Complex lifestyle doesn't change due to merely moving. Living parasitically off the non government-dependent private sector, like any other business today, is highly portable. A rotten phone bank "charity" that runs on grants and bilking people can be run from anywhere... for just one of MANY examples possible. Tens of millions of portable government contracting businesses? Fuggedaboutit.

Lets not forget it is safer for the Demo snowflakes to live in red states.

Ask those Demos leaving Chicago and moving into Indiana and Iowa.

Yep, and Joe Blow Pritzker gonna raise some more taxes. Won the governorship with the Demos gaining a Super majority, the most seats ever in Illinois.

Then the fat corrupt rolly polly wins and ask the leftness are they ready to fight. Despite winning.

Sure hope they will man up bringing that fight. ;)

Because if they marched in with guns and demanded socialism, they would get wiped out. So they relocate and vote instead.

The only effective response is to outvote them. We have to get our harder working friends away from their jobs on election day, convince them that voting is worth it. If everyone who has a job voted, there wouldn't be a blue spot on the map.

Low crime, low taxes, nice neighborhoods, more personal freedoms, English is the primary language, no Nazi gun laws, little or no poop on the sidewalks.

People move to where they find work or where they want to retire.
Not to change a state from political red to blue or vice versa.

I see the politics of division is alive and well. MACA

First of all states do not belong to red or blue people so I think the Constitution still allows people to move where they wish and also to vote as they wish.
P.S. On retiring we moved from a "blue state" to a "red state" so my wife could take care of her ill and aging parents.

Duhh. People don't move to get away from a states policies. They will move because of a job, family or in my wife and my case because of weather. Moving to another state doesn't include thinking differently about politics.

Heres one thing you can do- put a Trump sign in your yard. One that isn't easy to remove. They won't wanna live next to something that triggers them whenever they go outside. The Trumpy-er, the triggery-er. A painted Trump cutout with a motorized waving arm in several lawns in every neighborhood in your district would probably win the next election :)

Texas and Florida as well as the Carolinas have drawn a lot of people from Northernstates because of their milder climate and lower taxes. All of these states which have much lower taxes have suffered mightily from one form or another of natural disaster in recent years all of which will result in higher building costs due to the need to RAISE structures above flood level and higher taxation because of the constant need to rebuild infrastructure.Increased population leads to a need for more police, firemen, schools teachers etc, etc.

This is often the case and it usually happens when a liberal/progressive/socialist decides to raise a family.

It's amazing, how their support of 'diversity' goes out the window when they realize what sort of education their child will receive in their Democratic party-controlled city or state.

With the crime, excessive property taxes, unsafe schools, gangs, homelessness and all the other debris and detritus that come from Democratic Party rule, pragmatic leftists quickly realize they want no part of the Democratic Party–instilled mores and traditions that come with leftist rule. So they look to other states and cities where Republicans govern that will allow them to live like normal Americans.

Yet as soon as they relocate, many support and vote for the same policies and politicians that ruined the places they fled from.

Sometimes, with the proper guidance and an ability to have an open mind and an ability to to engage in diverse thought, some of these liberals/progressives/socialists will use logic and reasoning and their newfound principles and come to the conclusion that they've outgrown the nonsensical Team Blue cult they were a part of.

But more often than not they will simply chant, "Yes, we can" while happy filling out their ballot supporting the very candidates and fleeting principles that will turn their newly discovered haven into another Democratic Party-Controlled shithole.

It's very illogical and short-sighted. But it's what we've come to expect from these emotional and illogical people...

If your wife's parents were have lived in a blue stare...they likely would already be pushing up daisies or been thrown out onto the streets because they couldn't pay their property taxes.

I think you'll find the make believe Christian evangelicals in your Red States far less forgiving of you, if you become a dead beat.

And in the dead beat argument right now in the supposed booming economy there are 114,637,000 Americans living in households receiving government assistance.

They don't really blame their politics on the bad things that happen. It's always something else at fault. Hell, they're actually tickled pink to move to places where they consider themselves to be morally and intellectually superior in the same way missionaries feel when they go to some third world hell hole with a bible in their hand.

I don't know what you are talking about. I live in Portland Oregon, the most liberal city in the most liberal state. So many people have been moving here that house prices have been increasing at a rather fast pace. Seattle and Denver have been having similar problems. Three of the most liberal cities, attracting ever more liberals.

You are aware that part of the gun violence, that conservatives so fear, south of Chicago, includes parts of Indiana. That is where the guns come from.

Where I live, in an inner city neighborhood, the crime rate is considerably lower than the national average. The worse crime rates, state wide, are all in the South.
