I’ll vote for Trump because I agree with his policies, and the Democratic candidates are awful.

No one is ignoring the Constitution. 'What is happening' has been generated by people who were demanding this action before Trump was even elected, and attempted several methods of unseating him before they supposedly found something that, in their plan, supported by opinions, beliefs and interpretations, would be sufficient to exonerate them from wasting billions of tax payer funds on something they know will fail when it comes to trial.

    I'm not so sure.

I think that the Democratics are pretty far gone. I think that they would be pulling the same stunts even if Kasich or ¡Jeb! Was President.

There is the old story about counting your chickens before they hatch.
I think you read the news with a per-conceived conclusion, something preferred and chosen in advance of fact. I can't say that Trump didn't do anything wrong- it's incredibly difficult to walk the path that he has and not step over a line or two; and doubly so with the dems doing their best to turn any imperfect step into a criminal cause.

I can say without reservations that never in my life have I seen anything close to the total abandonment of principle and honor that is being demonstrated by the democrats every day. That conduct IS beyond question, IS beyond tolerance, and they think their emotional opinions justify it over the rules of conduct that would normally be regulated by integrity and self-esteem. Personally, I find that is a lowering of the already low bar of conduct in members of congress, and is an indicator of great danger for the nation. Shameful would be a very kind understatement for it.

"Playing along" is the whole story of the left these days, none of them have the balls to call out the transgressions of their own people. Even Pelosi has allowed herself to be neutered and pressured into supporting things she has repeatedly spoken against. Given her position, her known strength of leadership and history, that is a pretty good indication that the party is running amuck and has lost it's stable core values and cohesion.

I think the right would very much like to reason with the left- but that isn't possible when the left has lost sight of what reason is.
Trump has his faults, but his actions overall are on the right track and he is advancing our nation.
The left just has it's faults. It is focused on trashing that advancement, because recognizing or supporting those efforts might strengthen the president.
They will trash the nation before they will allow that. The offenses they commit today make anything Trump may have erred on look like a hiccup.

It's not a matter of Trump supporters playing along, and I think that below your facade you know that this is true.

What do you think the whole Benghazi Investigation was about? Why did the Republicans stop the Investigations when Hillary lost? Please. Roses grow not from Republican or Democrat asses on political circuses.

Of course the odds of the dem house voting for impeachment are pretty much a sure thing. The odds of the senate nullifying it are pretty much a sure thing.
This is an assault of desperation that began three years ago even before inauguration. It's like a stack of allegations where each runs a course and fails, and is immediately replaced with a new one. Even the charges they allege keep morphing into something else within their investigations. This continues to support the belief that this entire effort is, as the president has said- A witch hunt. Republicans know it, but as these shenanigans continue to pile up, even hard line democrats are realizing that their party is acting in desperation rather than with reason and cause. I suspect that a lot of democrats have already concluded that they must vote for Trump in 2020, because their own party has lost it.

I'm a conservative, have been most of my life- but I voted for Obama the first time. People do cross over, some voting for the man they think best fits the job, some voting for the lesser perceived evil regardless of party. Sometimes we find that was right, sometimes wrong. But the reasons to vote for Trump continue to grow- and the reasons to vote against any of the current batch of dem candidates continues to grow.
I think the impeachment effort, being so vindictive and lacking in meaningful evidence, will wind up swinging a lot of voters over to Trump- but taking virtually none away from him.

    Points go to Trump. Again.

Bottom line. Since 9/11, more and more power and less accountability has been accumulated by the Executive Branch.

This is just a case of Congress finally getting the balls to stand up to the idea of an Imperial Presidency. It’s not all about Trump, but Trump has been the most excessive in his disregard for separation of powers and oversight authority of Congress.

Just remember Republicans, every bit of power you hand to a President Trump could end up in the hands of a Socialist President. Think about that. Then decide if you want Congress to sit on their hands.

I think the DEMs overplayed their hand. They did a SNL parody on the floor of Congress and put dishonest, hypocrite in place (though expendable) to run the show. I suspect not a single Trump voter’s mind was changed, but more than a few were moved to that column not so much because they have new respect for Trump, but because of the behavior exhibited by the DEMS and the current crop they are pushing as candidates who are advocating extreme leftist views.
If rather than impeachment, they, as they usually do, continued instead with a barrage of allegations and guilt by association narratives, and concentrated on developing a platform that appealed to the majority of voters as opposed to the single objective of a hate removal of Trump, they may have stood a chance in 2020. They still haven’t come to grips with their 2016 loss and their ‘they know better than the American voter’ double down won’t persuade traditional swing voters. Hate only goes so far.
Then too is timing. By the time campaigning gets into full swing, the impeachment show will be over and leave the GOP plenty of time and opportunity to capitalize on that failure while pushing for criminal proceedings for those suspected, from their point of view, of trying to orchestrate a soft coup. I suspect the investigation on the origins and players involved in the Russia hoax narrative will yield criminal referrals and fill news cycles for months. Then too, I suspect the Senate will do a trial and call witnesses like the Biden’s, Shiff and others which will make additional problems for the DEMS.
I suspect Pelosi, not a fan, was astute enough to see the downside of impeachment proceedings but was caught by new DEM stars in a position between a rock nod a hard place. Now, the face of the DEMs is being cycled between Shiff, the A team and out of the closet leftist extremists.

I keep seeing Putin in my mind’s eye, sitting among his supporters, sipping vodka, laughing, saying we certainly F’d them up for years and didn’t have to launch a single missile. We saved enough money for another bottle.

agree, but I do think enough people do not think Trump is a good President and are just so tired of this man, that they will get out and vote to say 'Trump... you're fired'

Trump is dividing this nation, he needs to be voted out of office

The only voters that will matter is 10% of Independent swing voters in the middle. If they are turned off by Trump overload then Trump wins or loses. Trump won the Electoral College with very narrow margins in a lot of counties. He loses 5% there and he loses the election.

People who don't like work and don't know how to take advantage of robust markets can be expected to hate what Trump has done to their pathetic little lives. By 2024, they won't have company in their self pity.

As someone with an advanced degree in Nuclear Engineering; as someone who supported renewable energy like the Tellico Dam; as someone who thought that brush under powerlines should be clear cut, as someone who was called an uneducated deplorable by people who opposed everything I supported, loving coal over nuclear, fighting against the Tellicio Dam, and burning down millions of acres because of their ignorance, I really don't care what you think about anything. BTW, Socialists have done better fighting technology than they did with economic issues. Doesn't say much.

Unless the Democrats come up with someone better, of course I'll vote for him.

This entire impeachment thing is illegitimate. Democrats were whining about impeachment before Trump got his change of address cards in the mail. They've been Hell-bent on it since November 9, 2016. All they had to do was dream up something juicy and salacious.

The idiot left completely missed the mark on what the court of public opinion was going to say about this. The American public is tired of the bullshit from the left, and they will hold Democrats accountable for it next November...

Anyone who will still vote for Trump at this point would indeed vote for him if he killed people on Park Avenue. There is a certain type of person who organizes their life around the people they hate and Trump hates the right people. I just hope there are not that many of them and we who are not like that can outnumber them this time,
