    Right To Work States say that Unions must represent & protect all employees, whether or not they pay Union dues.

    Federal law does not obligate unions to represent non-members. Unions only represent non-union workers when union executives take on exclusive bargaining representation.

    Federal law requires Unions that have exclusive bargaining agreements to represent and protect all workers, even if they don't pay Union dues.

    if you really care about protecting the interests of workers, a Union would never enter into an agreement OTHER than an exclusive bargaining agreement.

    if you have 3 unions representing the same workers at a plant, there can be no unity and the bosses can take advantage of different union agendas and goals.

    one union is the best way to do it, otherwise its a mess

    To join a union is not a constitutional right.

    While I believe unions are generally necessary, the government has the right to regulate in this matter.

    Funny, I never benefited from the Union or its protection. I negotiated and earned my pay rate from hard work and education.

    i seriously doubt that.

    i have co-workers that claim to have not benefited from the Unions, while they ignore all the current benefits they have due to years of Union struggles

    Unions are as useless at tits on a boar hog in most cases. All it accomplishes at the end of the day is higher production costs which drive pricing higher, punishes consumers, and make the US that much more non-competitive.

    My beef with unions is that it eliminates rewarding exceptionalism, and promotes mediocrity.

    Correct. Merit based compensation is toast. It's nothing but seniority rewarding only days worked without getting fired. Not only that, a janitor can't even change a light bulb, we need to call the electricians guild.:roll:

    Early on, I had an employer heavily invest in providing me with technical training. Not based on seniority, but productivity, and work ethic. Ambition, combined with commitment = success in an open labor market.
