Just the first of a long line of appeals in the Federal Courts.

After Wisconsin's ID law gets completely trashed, the other states will follow. Let's get this crap out of our republic. Scott Walker is a clown and won't get away with this.

    Details found here:

    Great news!

It won't be too long until all the republican voter suppression attempts are struck down.

Of course. That's why Democrats love to block it. Makes it so those dead people, illegals, and felons can vote far more easily.

Of course. That's why republicans want voter suppression. It makes it so the poor, minorities, students, the young and working class people can't vote easily.

Voter ID, fewer voting hours, closing polling places are the new Jim Crow laws. republicans in Pennsylvania even admit it:

Baloney... you can get an I.D. for free and everyone has the same voting hours unless you are in Democratic Districts where they try to expand them for obvious reasons. You have nothing behind your claims.

However... there is proof of illegals voting to change elections.

Yes can you imagine how hard it would be for a dead person to show an ID? This madness has to stop! Being dead doesnt mean you shouldnt vote!

This reminds me of something the late Bill Veeck pulled as a minor league baseball owner. Everone knows that groundskeepers modify the field based on the team coming to visit. If they're really fast runners, the infield grass is cut shorter. If they're great at bunting for hits, the ground tilts down the baselines so balls roll foul. If they're speedy in the outfield, let the grass grow and make the field a bit muddy, and so on.

What Veeck did was put very high outfield fences on wheels. When a more powerful team came to town, he rolled out these high fences; for weaker teams he rolled them back. THEN he realized he could roll out the fences between innings, so that his team faced low fences and the opponents faced high fences. This worked for one game, and then they passed a new rule.

The political world doesn't have the reflexes of a baseball commissioner, so it takes a while for the courts to figure out that reducing voting hours in Democratic counties and expanding them in Republican counties isn't quite a level playing field. But eventually, the courts do figure it out.

It's not. Liberal self-empowered judges are once again showing why they can't be trusted with the powers they have received.

It'll lose in appeals then lose at the SCOTUS level considering the Wisconsin law doesn't violate Federal law.

Wisconsin residents can get a free state ID from a Department of Motor Vehicles by presenting documents such as a certified birth certificate, passport or Social Security card. Each document must be unexpired, and the person's name must be spelled identically on each document.

Instead of going with common sense just cry racism /rolls eyes

Now, imagine a test of mental competence, to be taken by potential voters over age 65. If the test were made really easy, so all these seniors had to do was just visit the courthouse and take it, and if it was free, would you support it? After all, we surely want to prevent all that voting fraud perpetrated by people too senile to understand the polling process, right?

They provide free ID. The only ones that have been struck down by the Supreme Court are those that require cost to get an ID or do not require enough time to get one. If it goes to the Supreme Court, this decision will be overturned. Precedent.

If you offered obama voters over 65 a free bottle of wine if they show up with a valid picture id the hood would be littered with empty wine bottles.

I hadn't realized the mental competency test would be flunked quite so spectacularly!

Basically, the huge black voting bloc started voting Democrat, so Republicans pushed for things like voter identification (assuming minorities were less likely to have proper ID), stopping Sunday voting and many other methods that they believe will impede the black vote more than the white vote.

Still not seeing how id requirement would prevent minorities from voting.

Could we just tell all liberals and minorities who don't want voter id laws just to move to detroit or the many other craptistic cities run by liberals and democrats? That would be a win/win for everyone.. They can keep letting dead people vote as many times as they want and the common sense people don't have to deal with them.

Well, you'd have to ask a Republican policy-maker as to why they believe that limiting voter ID reduced voting among black people.

Here is one Republican who suggests that black people are too lazy to get voter ID, and voter IDs will "kick the Democrats in the butt": http://splitsider.com/2013/10/north...igns-after-super-racist-daily-show-interview/

Also, the court ruling (scroll up) explains the relationship.

I just don't see any legitimate reason why using an id would be discriminate. We use it to drive, buy alcohol, cigarettes, porn, guns, at the doctor's office, when speaking with the police, when being hired for a new job and so on and so on so why is it all of a sudden a race issue when people are talking about using it to vote?

It's a race issue because how are people going to vote multiple times for crooked politicians if voter id laws exists? :)

Just another Liberal activist judge, take it to the supreme court where it will be upheld.
