Of course they did even criticizing him for the travel restrictions and over reacting. WHO and China downplayed it and it was like pulling teeth just to get them admit to human to human transfer and we still can't believe a word they say......hey but blame Trump..........geez how predictable. And listenin to the experts on the task force, because he acted so quickly with the travel restrictions he SAVED LIVES, lives Biden would not have. And his taking charge and order the FDA to fast track new test and new treatments, his partnering with the private sector to get them to ramp up an start producing vital goods they have NEVER produced, THAT will be a big part of the history of this thing how the private sector, the free market stepped up to the plate and fortunately there was a President who partnered with them and knows how to work with them. Great leadership and the American people believe so.

And YES China is to blame for this whole mess.

And because Kennedy was murdered for China. American's can't have their own solar, or wind power generation and are prevented from growing gardens , raising chickens or buying a whirlpool appliance?

As some mild sickness, they didn't even admit to human to human transfer for over a week and still not as the virulent virus it was and Trump declared a national public health emergency Jan. 29 as he was placing restrictions on travel and the left include Biden were attack him for acting xenophobic and over reacting.

How much of a whirlpool is actually mfg here. Like with automobiles, many of the componants are imported. You can buy American brands but you don't really know how much is American made. I'm afraid that ship has sailed. We'll see
Why did we lose our mfg base? It was once the strongest in the world.

The CDC has already credited Trumps travel ban with saving American lives and slowing the spread.

    Commies are inept.

Fake news. They only ruled out it wasn't SARS in january 5th to than identify it was something new the 7th. Lock down on 20th. WHO was already notified in december. The US never went on lock down.. so you know... sloppy leadership will make Murica nr 1 with that 100.000 to 200.000 deaths. Nice prognosis. MAGA all the way.

The amount of deaths in the US will dwarf with what happened in China.
That travel ban did not stop the spread INSIDE the US. Donald did nothing.
    Totally joke of leadership.

I have not seen anybody sources saying that at some point it was said it's not a person to person illness.
They only knew what it was on january the 7th. They put a lock down on the 20th.
Trumps ban was on the 30th.... when they already had corona INSIDE the US.

After that... Trump did absolutely nothing. So yeah... where other countries went on lock downs...
Trump did nothing. The US is going to be nr 1 hell hole with that predicted 100,000 to 200,000 deaths.
That's all on Trump not doing what other countries have done.

    And it... lets not forget...
Donald said, it wouldn't be so bad.
He said it's just a flu.
    He said it would vanish.
    He had this... hunch!
    Lets open up on Easter.

What a total looser of a clown!

Over me? I'm just stating the fact that the Dotard did not put on any lock down like other countries have.
The predictions of your golden boy is that the US will get 100,000 to 200,000 deaths, buddy.

Name a country who has that prediction like that!
Nobody is going to get close to that, buddy. Nobody.
That puts Donald at the bottom of the pile, buddy.

Maybe we get to see some poor smug African nation who does worse %-wise.... for "good" reference.

It was when they reported it was, it has to be shown it is not assumed. And the administration has done something everyday. Trumps travel restrictions, the ones Biden would not have issued, were issued on the 29th along with the public health emergency after the first case, the week the first case was here.

Let's not forget what the Chinese were doing to cover it up

January 1: The Wuhan Public Security Bureau issued summons to Dr. Li Wenliang, accusing him of “spreading rumors.” Two days later, at a police station, Dr. Li signed a statement acknowledging his “misdemeanor” and promising not to commit further “unlawful acts.” Seven other people are arrested on similar charges and their fate is unknown.

January 3: The Chinese government continued efforts to suppress all information about the virus: “China’s National Health Commission, the nation’s top health authority, ordered institutions not to publish any information related to the unknown disease, and ordered labs to transfer any samples they had to designated testing institutions, or to destroy them.”

January 4: While Chinese authorities continued to insist that the virus could not spread from one person to another,

January 5: The Wuhan Municipal Health Commission put out a statement with updated numbers of cases but repeated, “preliminary investigations have shown no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission and no medical staff infections.

January 6: The New York Times publishes its first report about the virus, declaring that “59 people in the central city of Wuhan have been sickened by a pneumonia-like illness.” That first report included these comments:

Wang Linfa, an expert on emerging infectious diseases at the Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore, said he was frustrated that scientists in China were not allowed to speak to him about the outbreak. Dr. Wang said, however, that he thought the virus was likely not spreading from humans to humans because health workers had not contracted the disease. “We should not go into panic mode,” he said.

January 8: Chinese medical authorities claim to have identified the virus. Those authorities claim and Western media continue to repeat, “there is no evidence that the new virus is readily spread by humans, which would make it particularly dangerous, and it has not been tied to any deaths.”

January 11: The Wuhan City Health Commission issues an update declaring, “All 739 close contacts, including 419 medical staff, have undergone medical observation and no related cases have been found . . . No new cases have been detected since January 3, 2020. At present, no medical staff infections have been found, and no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission has been found.”

January 14: Wuhan city health authorities release another statement declaring, “Among the close contacts, no related cases were found.” Wuhan doctors have known this was false since early December, from the first victim and his wife, who did not visit the market.

January 17: The CDC and the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection announce that travelers from Wuhan to the United States will undergo entry screening for symptoms associated with 2019-nCoV at three U.S. airports that receive most of the travelers from Wuhan, China: San Francisco, New York (JFK), and Los Angeles airports.

January 18: HHS Secretary Azar has his first discussion about the virus with President Trump. Unnamed “senior administration officials” told the Washington Post that “the president interjected to ask about vaping and when flavored vaping products would be back on the market.

January 21: The CDC announced the first U.S. case of a the coronavirus in a Snohomish County, Wash., resident who returning from China six days earlier.

January 22: WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus continued to praise China’s handling of the outbreak. [Got this one WHO is praising China inspite of it's lies and lack of transparancy]

    https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/chinas-devastating-lies/

And the week China announces the quarantine of Wuhan and Vietnam reports human to human transfer Trump declares a national public health emergency and severe travel restrictions.

Look I get it no matter what he does it is not enough, I get it, you will play Monday Morning Quarterback as if you had better information that he had and KNEW more than anyone else.

He told us.. it's just a flu.
He told us.. this will vanish
He told us.. he got this hunch it wouldn't be so bad.
He told us.. let's open up at Easter.

We all saw the director of infectious diseases face palm right next to that total useless idiot.

Donald now told us.. 100,000 to 200,000 deaths will be upon us. He obviously lied to you all that time. He fed you fake news all the way. GOP supporters are so naive. Still can't grasp that they got played like little children. Just give them what they want to hear.

They are using forklift trucks to toss in the corpses in 18 wheelers in New York. Mass graves will be next, buddy. Maga all the way.

China went for a lock down. They did fine.
US is just keen to have an idiot at the helm,
and lets go for just spreading around like crazy.

    Not seeing a cover up.
The doctor reported it the 30th of december to the authorities.
China notified the WHO December the 31st something was up that looked like pneumonia.
They found out the 5th of January that it wasn't SARS.
They found it was something new on the 7th of January.
They did a lock down on the 20th, when they confirmed it was a human to human thing.

Your rather conservative source suggesting they knew in december is incorrect and impossible.
    https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/01/timeline-china-coronavirus-spread-200126061554884.html

You simply do not go from, we got a virus and we know how it functions the next hour.
That's like saying we got a vaccine in a couple of months. That's just fake.
    Use your head.

    That's not true.
The lock down of Wuhan was the 20th.
The US put their ban on the 30th.
The virus was already present in the US.
But the US refused to do a similar lock down.
Hence it's all their own fault of the US, with Donald at the helm.
He let people travel to Wuhan and fetch the virus to take home.

And all the while as the timeline shows threatening their own doctors if they spoke the truth and they continued to cover it up until they no longer could while WHO was praising them.

See my timeline. The doctor reported the virus to the authorities the 30th. WHO was notified the next day. The entire idea that they knew everything how it gets transmitted didn't happen the next day with some magical cover up. That's like saying we got a vaccine in 3 months. Impossible and right wing fake news. Blame the foreigners theme... it's all so typical.

The Chinese did their work. It took them something like 20 days from first reported to knowing how it works. While WHO was notified ASAP on it all. Get over it. The US was just sloppy for not going for a lock down themselves, like China did. The US never did. And predictions of the US show it will be a massacre compared to China. Great job Donald. Great job.

WHO was already notified the next day that the doctors told it to the authorities.
Truth was already out. So much for that so called cover up.

And the doctor was fined for causing a panic. Not that I approve that they did. But that's not the same as making him shut up against the authorities or WHO.

WHO couldn't suck up to them enough, which contributed to not being able to contain the outbreak.

THIS IS YAHOO NEWS, NOT SOME FRINGE WEBSITE: Suspected SARS virus and flu samples found in luggage: FBI report describes China’s ‘biosecurity risk.’

In late November 2018, just over a year before the first coronavirus case was identified in Wuhan, China, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at Detroit Metro Airport stopped a Chinese biologist with three vials labeled “Antibodies” in his luggage.

The biologist told the agents that a colleague in China had asked him to deliver the vials to a researcher at a U.S. institute. After examining the vials, however, customs agents came to an alarming conclusion.

“Inspection of the writing on the vials and the stated recipient led inspection personnel to believe the materials contained within the vials may be viable Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) materials,” says an unclassified FBI tactical intelligence report obtained by Yahoo News.

The report, written by the Chemical and Biological Intelligence Unit of the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate (WMDD), does not give the name of the Chinese scientist carrying the suspected SARS and MERS samples, or the intended recipient in the U.S. But the FBI concluded that the incident, and two other cases cited in the report, were part of an alarming pattern.

    Isolate China.

Made on what ? What's the source ? What's the legitimity of those estimates ?

And even if China lied, it doesn't change the total incompetence of most western governments. I really don't like Trump bashing, but on that case, he failed, him and most governors either democrat and republcians.
I don't say that chinese authorities don't have any responsibilities, they lied, and on that I agree with that.

But the chinese government isn't the only one that commited faults, and again, there was other ways to deal with that virus, South Korea demonstrated it.
It's not It's China fault OR It's western government fault.
    Both have responsibilities.

It's absolutly false for France and UK.
Macron encouraged people, a week before the lockdown to go outside and socialize, and kept the town elections, which should have been postponed, furthermore there is a global lack of material, because of a lack of preparation.

Trump's lies were at least as bad, and by your measure also criminally negligent:
    - it is all under control
    - 15 cases down to zero
    - it will disappear like a miracle
    - it will disappear when the weather warms up

He didn't stop travel in any significant way, he just gave it lip service. He cost the United States and the world trillions of dollars.

Unrealistic that a new virus gets identified and contained within days.
Do note... The US send planes to get people OUT of Wuhan, in February.
Wuhan was on lock down on January the 20th, and Trump put a travel ban in on the 30th.

And indeed... planes. At least 2! For US citizens... with maybe Corona. Thanks Donald!
    https://www.businessinsider.nl/coro...te-us-citizens-2020-2?international=true&r=US

Have you heard about the global economy?
Who knows how many US citizens from Wuhan went back to the US before the 20th with the virus.
Do note... the doctor who found the virus reported this on december 30th. WTO was notified the 31st.
I can't say they were slow on this. US was slow on their lock downs. That's for sure compared to China.

Who, exactly, criticised Trump for the travel restrictions?

BTW Trump also downplayed it. Until the market tanked, the numbers started to explode and he had no choice but to accept that it was, actually, a big deal.

China lied and hid what they knew about the virus. They did what leftist governments do; they circled the wagons to protect the bureaucracy. And millions will die.

It’s a strange coincidence that wherever we find leftist governments, we find deaths counted in the millions.
