No, nine months ago. Jack Smith was named Special Prosecutor in November of 2022, it hasn't even been a year yet.

He has asked for a trial date for the 1/6 attempt to overturn the election of Jan. 2024 and a trial date of May 2024 for the documents case in Florida.

That's almost of unheard of on how fast that is.

You're claiming that the j6 committee had the same evidence and testimony, and that's an absurd claim. Not eve Lauren Boebert would make that claim after a crazy pill overdose.

We know it does for Trump. He still thinks it's 2020 and that he has some way of overturning the election.

This is the delusional guy that a significant portion of the population wants to put back in the White House.

If he wins in 2024 we are beyond f***ed.

His complaints about the time it takes to review the discovery material need to be dismissed. If he's a billionaire he has the resources to hire a small army of lawyers. Yet it seems the $ being spent is coming from his PAC. IOW, the rubes.

'Arizona Prosecutors Are Probing Rudy Giuliani’s Role as Fake-Elector Kingpin'

'State investigators have also started gathering information on Trump’s personal involvement in the plot, knowledgeable sources tell Rolling Stone'

'Giuliani convened the meeting of 15 state legislators at the Hyatt Regency in Phoenix in late November 2020, casting it as a “hearing” of the state’s legislature despite its unofficial status. The meeting appeared to be part of the Trump campaign’s pressure campaign to prevent the state from certifying Biden’s win. Arizona’s Republican Gov. Doug Ducey certified the state’s legitimate electors the same day.

President Trump called into the meeting and blasted Ducey, who he said “couldn’t [certify the electoral count] fast enough,” warning that “Arizona will not forget what Ducey just did.” Giuliani meanwhile urged the assembled lawmakers to “take over the conduct of this election because it’s being conducted irresponsibly and unfairly,” according to the House January 6 Committee’s final report.

Giuliani had initially pressed Rusty Bowers, then Arizona’s Republican House speaker, during a phone call with Trump to hold an official legislative hearing. But Bowers refused, testifying later that he feared an official hearing would create a “circus” atmosphere and make him a “pawn.”
Last week, Bowers declined to answer questions about the Arizona investigation and related events, simply telling Rolling Stone: “I am under counsel to not discuss anything at this time, so I must [decline to comment].”

'Drama unfolds on two fronts Monday as Trump cases enter new phase'

    Mon August 28, 2023

    snip:

    CNN —

'Americans are about to learn significant new details on the timing and the substance of the trials of Donald Trump, even as the former president and Republican front-runner steps up his effort to alchemize his unprecedented legal peril to boost his White House bid.

Two key hearings on Monday – one in Georgia and one in Washington – will take the drama over Trump’s quadruple criminal indictments into a new phase, following the extraordinary scenes and political maneuvering that culminated in the release of Trump’s booking mug shot last week.

In Georgia, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will sketch the first substantive evidentiary arguments in any of the cases facing Trump in a hearing on ex-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows’ bid to get his state case moved to federal court. Meadows and Trump have been charged along with 17 other aides, ex-officials and lawyers in a sweeping racketeering case alleging a broad conspiracy to change the result of the 2020 election.

At the same time in Washington, Judge Tanya Chutkan will hold a status hearing to consider dueling arguments by special counsel Jack Smith and Trump’s defense team over the date for a trial in the federal investigation into Trump’s alleged attempt to prevent now-President Joe Biden from taking office.'

Trump federal election trial set for March 4, 2024

    Source: CNBC

'A federal judge on Monday set a March 4, 2024, trial date in former President Donald Trump’s criminal election interference case, putting the top Republican presidential candidate on trial in Washington, D.C., seven months before the 2024 general election. Judge Tanya Chutkan delivered that ruling after rejecting two wildly different trial schedules proposed by Trump’s attorneys and special counsel Jack Smith’s federal prosecutors.

The Department of Justice’s suggestion to take the case to trial on Jan. 2 “does not” give Trump enough time to prepare, Chutkan said in a Monday morning hearing in U.S. District Court in Washington. But Trump’s proposal for an April 2026 trial date went “far beyond what is necessary,” the judge said, NBC News reported.

The jury selection process in the D.C. case is currently set to begin one day before Super Tuesday, the biggest day of elections in the presidential primary cycle.

Trump’s attorney John Lauro quickly rose to protest the trial schedule. “In our judgment, that trial date is inconsistent with President Trump’s right to due process and the right to effective assistance of counsel,” Lauro said in the hearing. The judge noted his objection before moving on.:roflol:

I couldn't agree more with Chutkan's approach of not taking Trump's campaign in to consideration in setting the date. Nothing compels him to run for office other than trying to escape accountability for his crimes.

    There he goes..again!
    "indicating me OVER NOTHING, lol

'Trump attacks special counsel over report that an investigator had a meeting at the White House'

    Source: NBC News

'WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump criticized special counsel Jack Smith's office after a report that a member of Smith's team had a pre-indictment meeting at the White House earlier this year — but a source told NBC News the meeting was with a career White House staffer and not, as Trump claims, a sitdown to get Biden administration approval for criminal charges.

“It has just been reported that aides to TRUMP prosecutor, Deranged Jack Smith, met with high officials at the White House just prior to these political SleazeBags Indicating me OVER NOTHING," Trump wrote Monday on his social media platform Truth Social. "If this is so, which it is, that means that Biden and his Fascist Thugs knew and APPROVED of this Country dividing Form of Election Interference, despite their insisting that they 'knew nothing,'" Trump added.

Trump was referring to a New York Post report on Saturday that said Jay Bratt, the Justice Department's top counterintelligence official, had a meeting at the White House on March 31 with Caroline Saba, who was then deputy chief of staff for the White House Counsel's office. They were also joined by an FBI field agent, the report said. The Post connected the meeting to Trump's subsequent indictment on charges that he mishandled a trove of national secrets he took with him from the White House, writing, "Nine weeks later, Trump was indicted by Smith’s office."

A source directly familiar with the meeting told NBC News that Saba had facilitated a meeting between Bratt — a key investigator in the documents case — and a career White House official who was in the same position in the Trump administration as well. White House visitor logs recorded the meeting on March 31, but it is shown just as a meeting between Saba and Bratt. According to the source, the White House Counsel’s office would attend such a meeting because it represents the institution of the White House and the employees under that umbrella, not just the president.'

I'm sure Judge Chutkan will get right on it. :roflol:

'Trump asks Judge Tanya Chutkan to recuse herself in Jan. 6 case'
    Source: CBS News

    September 11, 2023 / 4:39 PM

'Attorneys for former President Donald Trump want a new judge in his 2020 election interference case. In a filing Monday, they argued that Judge Tanya Chutkan should recuse herself from the case for previous statements they say give the appearance of bias. They did not outright accuse Chutkan of being biased against Trump, but highlighted statements they claimed "create a perception of prejudgment incompatible with our justice system."

"Judge Chutkan has, in connection with other cases, suggested that President Trump should be prosecuted and imprisoned. Such statements, made before this case began and without due process, are inherently disqualifying," Trump's attorneys wrote in the filing.

Trump has entered a not guilty plea in the case, filed by special counsel Jack Smith, in which he is charged with four felony counts relating to an alleged scheme to interfere with the peaceful transfer of power after he lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden. Trump's filing highlights several instances during hearings related to defendants in Jan. 6 riot cases in which Trump's attorneys say Chutkan appeared critical of the former president.

"This was nothing less than an attempt to violently overthrow the government, the legally, lawfully, peacefully elected government, by individuals who were mad that their guy lost," Chutkan said during one October 2022 hearing, later adding, "it's blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day." Trump's attorneys called that statement "an apparent prejudgment of guilt."

The irony being "a perception of prejudgment" is exactly the perception Trump is trying to create.

'Judge Chutkan Warns Trump Lawyers In Order Responding To Demand She Step Down From Jan. 6 Case'

    snip:

'Following that motion, Judge Chutkan issued an order demanding Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team file any opposition within three days and warning Trump’s lawyers to give Smith notice before filing such a motion or risk having future motions “denied without prejudice”:

MINUTE ORDER as to DONALD J. TRUMP:

Upon consideration of Defendant’s 50 Motion for Recusal, it is hereby ORDERED that the government shall file any opposition no later than September 14, 2023, and the defense shall file any reply within three calendar days from the filing date of the government’s opposition. All other deadlines set by the court remain in effect. Defense counsel is reminded of the requirement to confer with opposing counsel before filing any motion and to indicate whether the motion is opposed. See 09/05/2023 Second Minute Order. Future motions that fail to comply with that requirement may be denied without prejudice. Signed by Judge Tanya S. Chutkan on 9/11/2023.

The Judge’s order also points out that the issue has no effect on any other deadlines the court has set.'

Trump's improved 11.3 points against Biden compared to this point in the 2020 cycle.

Trump figures that with another set of indictments he'll have this thing sewn up.

Curious what the "***** Ass Bitch" has to say about Smith hiring his "war crimes" buddy?
He best not say it though. lol

'Jack Smith adds war crimes prosecutor -- his deputy from the Hague -- to special counsel team'

The special counsel’s office is gearing up to put Donald Trump on trial in two criminal cases next year.

Special counsel Jack Smith has added a veteran war crimes prosecutor — who served as Smith’s deputy during his stint at the Hague — to his team as it prepares to put former President Donald Trump on trial in Washington and Florida.

Alex Whiting worked alongside Smith for three years, helping prosecute crimes against humanity that occurred in Kosovo in the late 1990s. The Yale-educated attorney also worked as a prosecutor with the International Criminal Court from 2010 to 2013. He has taught law classes at Harvard since 2007 as well, hired as an assistant professor by then-Dean Elena Kagan — now a Supreme Court justice — and rising to a visiting professorship in 2013.

Whiting’s precise role on Smith’s team is unclear. A spokesperson for Smith declined to comment, and Whiting did not immediately return requests for comment. The prosecutors’ office in the Hague and Harvard University also did not respond to requests for comment about Whiting’s current employment status.

But a POLITICO reporter observed Whiting at the U.S. district courthouse in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday and Thursday, spending several hours monitoring the trial of a Jan. 6 defendant. The judge in the case is Tanya Chutkan, who is slated to preside over Trump’s trial in March on federal charges stemming from his efforts to subvert the 2020 election.'

I was told that “2000 Mules,” a brilliant expose on the RAMPANT CHEATING in the 2020 Presidential Election, is virtually impossible to get or find anywhere. The Radical Left Thugs never want that subject discussed, or even thought about, for very obvious reasons. 2024, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
