Of course, and that is why we *said* Never Again. If you recall, through the tearing down of the Berlin Wall, we also helped Germany rebuild. The War between us only lasted 3 years(From 1942 when the atk happened to 1945) and truthfully speaking, while Roosevelt was corrupt, if it were me, I would have given Japan a guarantee, as long as it vowed to conduct war according to INTL. regulations, and that it would halt its expansion. Had it done those two things, I would've gladly continued and increased Japanese aid.

It was a mistake to capitulate the Japanese Empire. Similarly when the European States turned down NS Germany. We turned them down, and today Russia and China have revived themselves, with no deterrent. Washington currently has plans for India in that role, but even a child knows the difference between an equalizer and perhaps a little fire fly.

As for the camps themselves, it was in war time status and our government was rightly concerned given the precision of the Pearl Harbor attacks(though Sir Roosevelt knew of them ahead of time). The extent to which we've said "never again", is that the Israeli spy ring can come and go in the U.S virtually undetected. Our government in fact helps them escape under the guise of an arrest! Indeed, the American government has become truly impotent.

The decision to use Fat Man and Little Boy remain a hot topic of fierce debate, and I'm on the side that says they shouldn't have been used. At that point, the Japanese Empire had been stuck to her own territory, we had defeated her allies Italy and Germany(and we allowed France to regain Vichy), it was all over.

It's said that Sir Truman wanted to use the bombs to pressure Stalin, but since the Russians already spied on the Manhattan Project, this was actually a failure and through seeing how it actually worked, the Russians could build their own bomb.

So Truman actually handed nukes as a present to the Russians. Oops. I bet he'd reconsider his choice now ;) lol.

Some consider the possibility that a long-ranged war would have taken more lives and I disagree. I think it would have taken the same amount of lives, but without the chemical reaction and destruction that left hundred of thousands of Japanese emotionally, mentally and physically scarred for life.

I think using nukes in that situation was a War Crime, but we didn't know how destructive these weapons were. We didn't even know if it would activate or not. So I guess I can forgive the first bombing, the second bomb is less forgivable and for that, if I were in Japan as a statesman I would sincerely apologize.

If I were head of state, we would have never used Little Man. I would've followed up Fat Boy with only direct means of military conflict. The first bomb literally devastated most of the infrastructure, targeted bombings on military targets would have accomplished the same results of the second bomb, without involving civilians any further.(IE: A Japanese Surrender)

But that's in the past, we truly have vowed never again and we can see for ourselves just how they've rebuilt. A society low on crime, high on education and high on health care. Japan is one of those countries today that everyone would like to emulate. Our common interests are far and wide, and unlike Israel, as Jack said, they aren't the least bit delusional about their situation.

Japan in fact faces more of an existential threat, considering it shares a border with China, North Korea as well as Russia to its North. Compared to Israeli fears about Hezbollah, Japan *wishes* the only thing it had to fear was a military contention by a paramilitary group lol.

But despite that, Japan has remained steadfast to the Treaty of San Francisco and has only deployed defensive weapons. As well as its own Constitution preventing it from launching wars of aggression. Make no mistake about this alliance, it is truly a special alliance in the manner in which Israel can only dream and perhaps it could have been, had it established itself as a democracy and not a religious theocracy that abuses our relationship.

I will hold true to this geopolitical statement: I will not allow Japan to capitulate. And our ties of friendship and our special alliance will continue for a million years.
I believe whereas the "peace" process in the M.E is impossible, a peace process in Asia has been under way for decades, and while strained at some points at many others has actually achieved this strange thing called "progress".

So forgive me, whereas Asia and Europe(and thereby the Western seas) are workable and actually important to American ambitions, the M.E is a lost cause as it ever was.

Thank you for clarification. I was not trying to be a smart-asp.

I support a state for Palestinians as well on the West Bank and in Gaza.

I don't think the ME is a lost cause. I bare witness to Muslims and Arabs who have reached out to me and other Jews and Israelis and vice versa. We exist.

I think they both accepted and followed it and the Arab/Palestinians refused and fought against it, they should have declared indipendence too but wanted the whole land so they lost everything, dont bother to qoute 181 either, we've been in that discussion 3 times already, when the Brits left it was either Chaos - One state under Arab rule and against UN 181 - or 2 states which Israel followed and esablished one, the Chaos option is not a real option to a Human society so it was really only 2 options.

Yet one is being sanctioned and the other isnt so perhaps you need to re-check your conclusion process.

You are the child of people given no choice. You are the legacy of a people who chose to say no to extinction.

You owe no explanations to anyone as to your right to exist. I though need to bare witness to your right to exist.

Well, it is up to the host countries how much they want to let themselves be enslaved and only play the second fiddle.
Somehow a bit ironic...they have their own turf now, but still need to dominate other countries, as done for centuries before. Must be their nature, can't help it.

I can say...from experience....that the average Iranian....which right now over 70% of all Iranians are 30 years old or younger....want nothing more than peaceful relations with the United States and a resolution to the Israeli/Palestinian Issue as well as understand that they are basically being held hostage in their own country by a bunch of very old Religious Zealots.

I can also say from experience that the Old Iranian Religious Guard along with the Iranian Secret Police and Qud's Force are one big festering PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!

Despite whatever the Israeli Leader has said....nothing...and I mean...NOTHING....is allowed to go on Militarily without being given a GO....from the United States.

With any LUCK...the very soon to be dead and gone Iranian Old Religious Guard will be replaced by a Free Iranian Democratic Movement.

But make no mistake....if Iran were to obtain a Nuclear Weapon....and then attempt to use Nuclear Blackmail....a few old style Circa 1945 Fission Bombs are not enough to deter a U.S. Military attack.

In such a case a U.S. Military attack upon a Nuclear State would be beyond devastating....as we would bring to bear some Highly Advanced Weapons that have yet to see the light of day....and if this were to happen I shutter to think of the Iranian Death Toll.

I don't think the theocracy in Iran is all that bad, the perception of the "theocracy" comes from our Western Media, which is completely bias'd. The regime had pronounced a ban on Nuclear weapons, has signed the NPT as well as the CW.

    http://www.nti.org/country-profiles/iran/chemical/

http://www.tehrantimes.com/politics/111235-iran-ready-to-help-implement-deal-on-syrias-chemical-weapons-zarif- It's even on our side regarding Syria.

I don't know what "experience" you have, but all of the facts we have on the ground(that is to say without any government bias) points to the direction for looking at Iran like a kitten.

Iran has fulfilled its International Obligations, Israel has not only refused to do so, but our so-called "state department" blocks them from ever having to do so. If I fear anything, I fear modern day Israel.

I have several Iranian Friends who would agree with what I am about to post.

If you recall a year or so back...that Iranian Democracy Movement Uprising...well...what you saw on TV....Iranian Youths being beaten and arrested....well...that was NOTHING in comparison to what went on behind the scenes.

The Iranian Old Guard made sure to make a statement as they used the Iranian Secret Police and members of their Republican Guard to infiltrate student groups and let's just say the Student Population in Iran went down in number a great deal.

The Iranian Old Guard has an arm of their Military known as the Qud's Force which is responsible for spreading the Iranian Islamic Revolution by various means such as funding various Terrorist Groups and sending arms and money to Syria's Assad Regime which then takes a cut and disseminates the rest to groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Iran currently has several secret Nuclear Underground sites which we know where they are but Iran has admitted to the existence of one of them which is a breach of the NPT.

As far as my experiences I cannot talk about them but I can say if you were privy to what I know...you would have a VERY different opinion and point of view concerning Iran.

    Here is one other thing.

Some people would say that we allowed North Korea to obtain Nuclear Weapons so we will not do anything if Iran were to do the same. WRONG.

North Korea can be easily contained and unlike Iran is not in a position to effect the Massive Energy Resources existing in the Middle East.

If for any reason Iran were to even just threaten with WORDS doing anything that might effect the supply of oil coming from the Middle East....the United States would attack...and such an attack would be on a scale not ever seen before in Modern Warfare.

Did you? I didn't hear that. But the Germans said "Never again!" Look at them now - they fight as proxies for you Americans!!!
"Ich bin ein Berliner", is what Kennedy said and that is all. Or do you mean the money from the Marshal Plan?
    If you recall, it was your country, too, who bombed Germany to smithereens;
    it was your country who starved 1.5 million German soldiers to death AFTER the war;
it was your country who stole and looted from the devastated, on the ground lying starving and sick German people.
Only, you say? The war isn't over yet. You still occupy Germany; Germany still doesn't have a peace agreement nor a constitution. Germany is nothing more than an American colony.
Yes, son, you would have, I'm sure.
We all know, the ultimate goal of USrael is to conquer Russia and China. They already have their bases and installations in place. Day after tomorrow they might attack. :salute: :fingerscrossed:
I know. Canada did the same.
No, not impotent. How many wars have you Americans started since the end of WWII? Do you have enough fingers to count them all?
As for the Jews spying on you, what does it matter?
I'm glad to hear that. But now you worry that Iran might want to build a fat man and drop it somewhere where it could hurt! Where do you think they might want to drop it - Israel or USA?
True, you were the winners, the heroes! Cheers!(belated)
All the time I thought you Amis stole the bomb recipe from Germany!! You kidnapped all their scientists, like Wernher von Braun.
Do you mean to say you actually had the brains to build one yourselves? That would be new to me.
I would bet, too! Anyway, it is news to me that he did that.
It was a crime against humanity and they all should have been hanged in Nuremberg.
You have a  of gold!
Didn't you test the bomb in the Nevada desert, Area 51, where you also keep the aliens?? I heard such rumors.
Anyway, bombing civilians is a crime, no excuse!
The Americans were drunk with victory wine and beer, so they couldn't wait to try out their stolen bombs on the Japs... they had no conscience at the time. Actually, they still have not changed to this day.
Maybe they do so well, because they don't have the 2% infestation. Or did you Americans help them financially and materially? I know you were the first ones to arrive after Fukushima. Sometimes, I think, the Amis have a good heart, too. At least the common folk is friendly and helpful to us Canadian tourists.
We all face existential threats, if you think about it. We Canadians especially have to worry, having to live right next door to the worlds biggest terrorist!!
Well, Israel brewed its own soup. They should have gone to Madagascar, it might have worked out better in the long run. But they insisted on going home, not realizing that during their 2000 year absence someone else had moved in.
What? They are not a democracy? Since when? They boast whenever you will listen to be the only democracy in the ME.
You better check your fact book.
What is it with you...do you have a Japanese girlfriend?
Then get out of there! Leave them alone and they'll figure it out much sooner than with the empire as back-up.

I have many Canadian Family members and the vast majority of Canadians do NOT have the same ideology as you do.
Canada and the United States are intricately tied together and this is by Families, Businesses, Sports and Joint Defense.
Canada has no greater ally than the United States and Canada is also our Great Ally as well...even closer than the U.K.
If ANYONE OR ANYTHING OR ANY COUNTRY were to attack Canada or Canadian interests or Canadian People...the United States would be there is a split second to help.
There would be no debate or questions...we would just be there.

As far as how Canadians feel about the U.S....you are the exception as most have family in the U.S. as well.

The Zionists certainly accepted "181", Gilos. But they didn't follow it.

Part 1 Sections A and B of the resolution detail a number of steps that "181" required I posted the ways in which these steps were violated by the Zionists a few days ago and have no intentions of repeating them all, but I will provide a few examples that I remember:

181 Rule: "Independent Arab and Jewish States and the Special International Regime for the City of Jerusalem, set forth in Part III of this Plan, shall come into existence in Palestine two months after the evacuation of the armed forces of the mandatory Power has been completed" Britain started to withdraw its forces on 15 May 1948 and completed the process on 30 June 1948. Two months after that is therefore 30 August which is the earliest that the Zionists were allowed to declare independence.
Zionist non-observance : They allowed no time for all the preparatory steps to be undertaken because they declared independence on 14th May 1948, in other words 3 1/2 months too early. This seriously jeopardised the entire transition process.

Those are pure facts which will always win over opinions.

    Anyone can say that though.

Plus - you were on here a couple of weeks ago, making definite predictions in regard to Syria. I don't need to be on the 'inside' to see you got that 100% wrong.

That's interesting. I didn't know about the timeline. So rightfully, Truman should have told the Jewish leadership in Palestine to do what they were told, WRT establishing the two states. Instead of which, he officially recognised Israel just a few minutes after it was declared. I wonder why he did that....

Dusty the memoirs of Truman are public domain. You can go get them and find out why and when he recognized Israel.

Also without knowing the time line you will not understand why he decided what he did when he did.

The Arab League of nations unilaterally declared a state of a war to kill all the Jews of Palestine. The UN stayed silent and Britain led the Arab League armies in this war with its Generals leading the main attack force from Jordan and flying Egyptian aircraft.

The Jews violated nothing. They agreed to exactly what the UN said. It was the Arab League who said no. 85% of Palestine was already illegally seized by Britain and turned into the British puppet state of Jordan and declared Jew free and still is to this day in its constitution. No Jew can have citizenship or own land in Jordan.

The border that came about in 1949 did not come about by peaceful resolution. It was the line where Arab armies ran from when the Jews fought back. Its called a defacto border. To this day the Arab League of nations remains in a declared state of war against Israel ad does not recognize its borders.

The West Bank was never part of any state. Jordan illegally seized it and then lost control of it to Israel in1967.

Jordan used to offer law of return to any Arab identifying themselves as a Palestinian. It was created and still refers to itself as the Palestinian state and it says so on its coat of arms.

The fact is 85% of the land earmarked for a Jewish state was illegally and unilaterally declared a Jew free Palestinian state in the early 1920's by Britain. The League called a meeting to disband the state as illegal when WW2 broke out.

The fact is in 1949 after the Arab League armies ran away in panic unable to kill the Jews they thought would be sitting ducks, they rounded up Palestinians and placed them in open air prison camps and announced publically which is now on record it would hold these people as hostages and that is the word they used, hostage or pawn when translated from Arabic, until the world dismantled Israel.

Try as the Arab world does to skip over the above and not take full moral responsibility for turning Palestinians into hostages, that fact remains.

Even Egypt and Jordan who have limited peace agreements with Israel do not recognize Israel as a Jewish state or recognize its borders and thus do not exchange Ambassadors with Israel.

You might want to read why he recognized Israel and was threatened with impeachment for doing so. You might want to read Eleanor Roosevelt's huge role in Israel's creation.

The US did not want to recognize Israel because it did not want to alienate Saudi Arabia's leaders and their no.1 source of oil. Truman openly admitted that. It was Roosevelt who got him to change his mind.

Go read his memoirs. Truman is upfront about what he decided, when and why.

This is a man who admitted to openly confronting and challenging his own anti-Semitism. This is a man who openly allowed a woman during an anti-woman era challenge him and influence him to change his mind.

Truman was a man with balls. He was not afraid to make an unpopular decision and stand by it.
