lol, you're so predictable. The only voter suppression I'm aware of is from the Black Panthers, actually. I'm not aware of any other suppression activities.
Do you actually believe that? Today's Washington Post reports numbers that contradict you. How many have migrated? The only current and relevant data that I can find does not comport with your claim:
Voters in Indiana and Missouri decided what Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock said was stupid....not the "Liberal mainstream media". Yes, for several posts now, you blamed the debacle that was the Shutdown, the repudiation of Ted Cruz, and the negative impact on Repubs, positive impact for McAuliffe on the "mainstream media"....with few mentions of the fact that Cruz's fellow Republicans thought he was a jerk who was destroying the Party or the polls which clearly showed the public has a HUGE dislike of the GOP due to it. You have one basic answer for all your losses..."Liberal mainstream media"....which is a pretty good indication, you only watch Fox and only listen to Rightwing Radio for your information. Am I right? YOU brought up the fact of the President being "half Kenyan" in a NEGATIVE context....why? - - - Updated - - - No, he just believes what he's TOLD in the Rightwing Echo Chamber he lives in. He probably REALLY believes that there were dozens of Black Panthers stationed at each of THOUSANDS of polling places, "intimidating white voters" and thus was the only reason that McCain and Romney lost.
Why weren't they edified and sustained by that Rasmussen prediction of a Romney victory on election eve? Did they, instead, fall for the 'Liberal!' propaganda of all those Nate Silvers? Who are all these "conservatives" so enamoured of the 'Liberal!' media that they obsequiously kowtow to its siren call? Has no one informed them of Limbaugh? Hannity? Savage? Beck? Coulter? Fox? The National Standard? Etc.? Are they actually so insecure and intellectually wanting?
http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature...ired-after-racist-comments-daily-show-segment http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/30/us/north-carolina-voting-lawsuit/index.html This is all news to you? Never heard of this? You want to compare this to two guys standing on steps looking scary?
I've been going by the RealClearPolitics polling data on a consistent basis since Day 1 of this thread. 17% to 6.7%? That's a pretty extreme drop since the shutdown: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epo...rvis-4111.html 31,000 as of May, 2012 http://www.changemaryland.org/2012/05/maryland-taxes-spark-largest-exodus-of-any-state-in-region/ 66,000 as of August, 2013: http://marylandreporter.com/2013/08/21/maryland-a-net-loser-as-taxpayers-migrate/ About 30,000 per year. Not bad... Could be like California's average 200,000 per year over the last 20 years. http://www.thumbtack.com/md/#2013/state (Check 2012 vs 2013: MD has a C- to a C rating, while VA has an A rating in both years.) And it looks like they're living outside their means in regards to Medicaid: http://www.wjla.com/articles/2013/09/md-claimed-20-6m-in-unallowable-medicaid-costs-93999.html MD also ranks in at #22 in employment w/ a 7% unemployment rate. VA ranks in at #13 with 5.8%. MD has been unfriendly toward business for many years. People have finally had enough.
Actually, I probably follow it a lot closer than you do. You just have a different definition of "voter suppression."
17% was the Rasmussen outlier number that was used because conservatives seem to love Rasmussen. I thought it was funny that they were so far outside the norm, which at that time was about 8%. It's down to about 7% now. Hasn't moved much for over a month.
Seems he's a guy with an agenda and has a variant understanding of Voter ID legislation. Voter IDs are not suppressant. Dems are just pissed that they can't defraud the system anymore.
I'm fairly certain you're mixing information throughout this thread, but whatever... let's roll with it. Conservatives are disenfranchised. They no longer have a party, because the Republican establishment runs the Republican party... and they like RINOS - they like moderates. A great deal of Conservatives didn't show up to the election polls in 2012, because they didn't have a candidate to vote for, that represented them. That is partially why Obama won. Additionally, if you're a liberal, you're not reading, listening to or watching any of the above. You're only getting information from the mainstream media, because you've grown to trust the mainstream media. If you're only listening/reading/watching the liberal mainstream media, you're going to get biased opinion of Conservatives. This doesn't allow for open minded thought and leaves absolutely little room for sway. If you're a RINO/Moderate Republican, you're also not listening or reading the above either. You're probably watching Fox News, which still has a more moderate leaning, unless you're talking Sean Hannity. You only think it's right leaning, because they tell the truth on that network, despite what you hear on CNN or MSNBC. The truth must sound biased, I'm sure.
They never have. Look up the number of prosecutable offenses of voter fraud in the last election. Maybe you can laugh at yourself the way they laugh at you. He was in charge of the election board. He wasn't an outlier. He just let the cat out of the bag.
One opinion about a Voter ID law doesn't make the proposed legislation voter suppression. - - - Updated - - - They're increasingly voting Democratic, because they go to liberal institutions. I live in Northern VA, where it's mostly Liberal... I'm aware of what we're up against. Many of our friends are liberal and they don't even know why.
They probably regard you as being as much of a mystery as well. It's undoubtedly a matter of demographics. The ten poorest states, based on per capita income, are Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, and North Carolina. The ten worst-educated states are West Virginia, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Alabama, Nevada, Indiana, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. There would appear to be a very strong correlation with those factors.
I don't think "disenfranchise" means what you think it means. But anyhow, can you suggest a presidential candidate who would have been a "true" conservative?
What's new? This administration prosecutes AZ for protecting its own borders and doesn't prosecute the Black Panthers for actual real voter suppression. They're liberals... what do you expect?
Actually, it means exactly what I think it means... Presidential alternatives that would actually have been Conservative: Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Ron Paul, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry
Lol! You want to defend this attack on democracy. You should be humiliated by what they have done in NC and across the country. It is a desperate and cynical attempt to steal power on an institutional scale. It isn't a liberal issue. We should prosecute this kind of massive voter tampering no matter who does it.
All of whom made complete asses of themselves in the primaries, with the possible exception of Paul. If these are your heroes, who needs villains?
