Democrats have done nothing but run afoul of the law for the past 6 years. That they run afoul of it here, is not the least bit surprising. What is however surprising is the laughable reasons they use to strike it down.

A: Get the spelling fixed. B: What era was this? And what's stopping you from getting one now? C: Profit.

    Get the bleeping ID!

Why is it only Democrats who re too incompetent to get a proper id card?

Republicans are smart enough to figure it out.

    Why not Dims?

the reason it will never pass is because a person has no recourse if someone says their ID is not valid, any legal action after the fact would not help the person being abused by the id checker

not to mention absentee ballots were not included in this law and that is where most of the fraud would come from

you can't require more proof of ID from a person that shows up in person then one that drops an anonymous vote in the mail... add in the law that all absentee ballots must be "notarized", then they may have better luck passing it

Isn't it cute the way people pretend these laws are to prevent something that doesn't exist....

If there were no illegal votes to be gained for Dimocrats the party would not be fighting against id cards so much.

These voter ID laws aren't aimed at preventing illegal votes, they are designed to suppress legal voting.

They are aimed at preventing obama voters from voting many times in every election.

Then you'd be able to point to hundreds of cases of that actually happening wouldn't you?
Because if it actually had happened enough to sway the election, thousands would have been caught.
(But the actual catch was two Romney voters....)

I don't see how the Wisconsin law is any different from the Indiana voter ID law which was upheld by the SCOTUS.

We catch a few but it would cost billions to investigate every possible instance of Dimocrat voter fraud.

The picture id is a safeguard for the voting rights of legal voters.

The difference is a lib judge in Wis. who wants to help his fellow Dimocrats win elections.

Suppress who and how? And don't link to what some Liberals thought Republicans think. What do YOU think? Then just for fun, to give your opinion a little more weight, provide a couple of facts to back up that only certain demographics are unable to get ID. And why would that be? Should be easy right?

I live in Wisconsin and can assure anyone who doesn't live here that the only thing that keeps elections even remotely close here is voter fraud.

The Dems in Madison and Milwaukee are always up to no good, and when they're caught with their hand in the cookie jar - which is often actually, they kick up gorilla dust, go into attack mode against anyone bold enough to state the obvious, and the media spins it all for them; of course the media being an extension of the Democratic Party.

There are 3 pockets of blue corruption in the state, Milwaukee, Madison, and northwest Wisconsin, i.e. from Superior to Eau Claire and East to around Wausau. Having lived in Superior - horrible place - I can attest to personal experience that voter fraud is rampant. I remember one election back in the 70's when 2 Dems were running against each other (Republicans didn't used to even bother running), and the vote was so close that it degenerated into a food fight of accusations and whose fraud was legitimate, and whose fraud was unacceptable.

The guy who lost that race only did so b/c he had almost as many dead people votes as he did legitimate ballots cast. Everyone knew the other guy had cheated too, but his cheating wasn't as aggregious, lol...

Most of the state of Wisconsin is very much Republican, and it is a good state to live in outside of those liberal hell holes; but the Democrat strongholds are "dyed in the wool" crazy... predicably economically depressed, the people are very, very backward in their thinking, etc. The Superior area is akin to living in the Soviet Union... seriously terrible, horrible people.

They get the government they deserve, that's for sure - unfortunately their ignorance causes much suffering amongst people who simply have the misfortune of being in proximity to them when they fart.

Suppress Dimocrats of course because their voters are too stupid and therefore less capable of navigating the torturous process of getting a picture id.

I want to hear a Democrat admit it, instead of just saying thats what all the Republicans are saying. Saying VOTER SUPPRESSION without providing any personal opinion or basic facts to back up your view means you don't have a brain.

The libs will spend 10,000 words to say it but eventually thats all their excuse boils down to.

Obama voters are too lazy or too stupid to obtain a valid picture id.

Or, they dont want too because that makes it more difficult for Dims to cheat.

So barriers placed in front of primarily Democratic voters is perfectly proper, while barriers placed in front of primarily Republican voters is a strawman. Nice double standard you have there, can we have some?

This is a good thing because the rational base of SCOTUS is getting very old, and it will only take another SotoMayor or two to unhinge the Court from rational jurisprudential underpinnings. We will get more solid precedent for reasonable voter ID when the Circuit or SCOTUS overturn, which they will. Incidentally, 90 page fed district court decision = "knows law is not on their side."

They can vote as easily as anyone else, the Constitution does not require that they be coddled.

So do you support their right to purchase a firearm be "suppressed"?

So you admit that Dimocrats are less intelligent or lazier than repubs when it comes to getting a proper picture id?

Strawman, there is no "test" involved in getting your easily obtained state ID. It's a common sense measure that also speeds up the voting process and lessens the need to purge voter rolls which you on the left also oppose.

    A sad day.

So, our democratic feedback and control system has been stolen away by Corrupt Courts and Democratic Frauders... Sad.

Any system with a broken feedback control loop will oscillate to its extreme end point limits, exceed them, and break down.

    Go ahead, Liberals, Gloat.

    This will end badly.

It is depressing to see people on this forum stupid and selfish enough to think this is a victory.
