We're not talking about anything like that, we're talking about something you or someone else made up about the Bible.

Which might be interesting had your original claim been about adulterers.

My claim includes everything that the bible says, that Christians simply ignore for the sake of convenience. The Bible explicitly states that a whole bunch of people should be put to death--it says explicitly that adulterers, homosexuals, pagan worshipers, etc should be put to death. However, Christians ignore all this because they find it distasteful. IMO, if you're gonna ignore parts of the bible cause you feel like it, then you're not being honest to yourself or to your religion. Cause you're essentially picking and choosing which parts of the bible to follow and which parts to ignore. And so at that point, you're no longer following the Bible. You're just following yourself.

In what post # did he admit that? Do you think that endorsement of equality as a concept lowers us to his standards?

I meant that as a joke; I guess I should have put (lol). I am asking why someone who does not respect the rights of others should be entitled to those rights himself.

In case you've forgotten, your original claim was about unbelievers.

Its 2015. Everyone is out marching and fighting so that everyone can be on the same line when it comes to right and equality and you want to outlaw religion? You missed your chance to bring this up in Stalinist Russia.

I am curious. Aside from pulling down every temple, church and mosque. Burning every Book and putting those who lead services out of a job, how do you intend on upholding this new law? Anyone who believes in god goes to jail? There will be so many. You would have to construct new jails to house these new felons. We have history classes for a reason. History is doomed to repeat itself if ignorance persists.

Faith is something that enchants humans into anything and when one is deeply rooted in religious faiths one is prepared to sacrifice all else. And that is how religious organizations all over the world are able to amass massive wealth, resources and with that they are becoming powerful to influence governments.

Humanity would be better off if religions banned government.

Incorrect. Humanity would be better off without a celestial north korea telling it that it's OK to murder other people.

Christians do it. How many murderers claim god told them to do so? People here call them lunatics.

But when a Muslim does it, they're a terrorist.

Either way, they're one and the same, a radicalized theocrat terrorist with no soul.

As for the question of the OP - no, religion is a personal choice. It would be more effective and acceptable to outlaw evangelizing, proseletyzing, public prayer, prayer gathering, religious group protesting, much like Japan has done. They haven't had a muslim terror attack... well, ever.

The issue here with religion is the expectation that religious rights superscede the rights of the individual. I see it the other way. My right to privacy supercedes your right to practice religion, because without any individual rights the right to freedom of religion is completely without merit.

Outlaw those things, makes religion a personal choice, not some baloney indoctrination it is now.
