Politics is religion. All wars are fought over either resources or religion. Therefore politics is religion.

Just assume by reference to ideas in their mind (God belief specifically in this case) that they will commit crimes even thought they haven't and likely will NOT commit crimes. We are a Christian professing nation. Jesus said the wealthy should give away all they have and give it to the poor. If these professing Christians did that and gave the $30 trillion they have sheltered overseas, our society would be a virtual Paradise.

We are a nation of CINO's (christians in name only). Few of the "christians" actually follow the teachings of jesus christ. Instead, the American version of religion is largely a self-aggrandizing activity, designed to make yourself feel better, (partly by demonizing those who don't share your beliefs).

Muslims actually take their religion seriously. In the Koran, it says you should go and kill the infidel---and that's what they do. The bible says the same thing - but christians pretty much ignore that - cause no one really has the time to read the bible anyway. We're too busy living our fast-paced short-attention-span immediate-gratification American lives.

 

Bush claimed that he was told by God to invade Iraq and called his invasion a "crusade" (a term deemed highly offensive in the Middle East and tantamount to "pogrom" by Muslims). Tens of thousands have died because of the actions taken by Christian Bush and his apologists.

The bible is clear - nonbelievers should be put to death:

Deuteronomy 17

If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

 

Nothing in there about "unbelievers"; and nothing suggesting they should "go and kill the infidel", as the underlined clearly implies the penalty applied only to Israelites.

All who curse their father or mother must be put to death. They are guilty of a capital offense. (Leviticus 20:9 NLT)

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

So according to your logic--god told the israelites to kill all nonbelievers, but somehow, this does not apply to everyrone else? Do you realize that the 10 commandments was also addressed to the israelites. LOL. Yes - that's how you religious people do it. Whenever there's something in the bible that you find distasteful, you say "that's not what god really meant" and you reinterpret the words to mean something else. Nevermind that throughout history, people read those same words, and they actually DID stone adulterers to death. But somehow THEIR interpretation (ie actually following the words of the bible) is always wrong, YOUR reinterpretation of the bible is always correct! Yea right, gimme a break.

 

After 11/13 after what happened in Paris its tempting. But I would just declare any religion who is discriminatory, speaks out hate for protected groups or makes said groups feel bad as a Hate Group under the government so they lose all government support for programs and non-profit status could be removed.
