Alright I've been a little flippant in this thread because it's fairly clear that you're just trying to get a rise out of people.

But to be totally clear, your opinion of what "rights" are is entirely dependent on whatever our elected officials and sitting judges say they are. That's a reasonable position to take, but it also makes discussions like "is healthcare a right" pretty pointless. Whether or not it is under that definition is not controversial or interesting.

I just think it's a useless way to think about rights.
