Amnesty Don. That's what he will go down in history as. I didn't know I voted for Jeb Bush but apparently I did. I cannot in good conscience support a president who works with Democrats to get amnesty done when he specifically told us on the campaign trail that there will be no amnesty. It's time to face facts guys Donald Trump lied to us.

Maybe the Democrats were right all along. Maybe it was simply just to enrich himself and his company.

    Discuss.

I could have told you that he wasn't for real 18 months ago. I probably did. The problem with Trump is that he has no real idealogy, he just floats from one thing to another based on whims.

Looks to be that way. He was going to be a 1 term President anyway, he should have done as much damage to the left as possible. (((Ivanka and Jared))) likely had a lot to do with it.

It's a real shame. His candidacy had so much potential. We're done now guys. We don't have enough time to reverse course now if Trump isn't going to be the one correcting the ship. We're done.

He will grant amnesty. He will probably push for single-payer. And then all the Republicans who got him elected will sit out next round a Democrat will win and finish this country off for good. We will go the way of the communists. Our future is etched in stone.

Read his Twitter feed. Donald Trump is a grown man. He is not a baby. He is not an alien who's words need to be interpreted and nobody has a translator. He speaks for himself and he spoke very very clearly today on Twitter.

I have no problem with "dreamer" legislation if they were to close the border.

But they'll never close the border, so I'm against the dreamers.

I think people need to stop thinking that one politician or one election is going to solve anything. Society has been sick for over half a century now. It's going to take a lot more than 4-8 years to fix what's wrong, and even then, it may not even be possible at this point. Honestly, it may be a good thing when 40% of the population is completely disenfranchised in the coming years. Then maybe strategies to "starve the beast" can be implemented and this system (which the left controls) can crash and burn. Then real, meaningful change can be enacted. Until that time, there may not be a political solution possible. This is their system we are playing in, and they have been winning even when they have lost.

With Trump, the fact that he let his daughter marry who she married is a pretty good indication that he was not all that serious.

I've got no issue with a compromise on DACA, but it's terrible policy to not negotiate the Wall concurrently as a non-negotiable item concurrent with DACA resolution, approval, and appropriation of the Wall. Trump is smarter and better than this. I've got to believe all the facts aren't in yet.

He's making the classic mistake of thinking he can work with left-wing Democrats. George H.W Bush was a 1 term President because he made the same mistake. In Trump's case, he was getting so much trouble from his own party that he went left. This is not going to end well for him.

I don't even think we have 40%. I'm talking to a lot of conservatives who are just fine with what Trump is saying on DACA. They see no issue.

Every single one of those people are going to vote Democrat. Why the **** do we have to help Democrats at every single turn?

I'm not sure those conservatives know Trump is trusting the scum Democrats to their word. Terrible mistake if that is the case. Bannon needs to blow his phone up.

I don't understand it. He tweeted about this a few years ago. He said the Republicans are stupid for trusting Obama and he's laughing at them because every illegal immigrant granted amnesty will go Democrat. I mean he said all this. He said on the campaign Trail there will be no amnesty word for word.

He can't be this stupid is he senile I mean what's going on? Look all over social media now everybody hates him. The hard right feel betrayed and they hate him and a hard left are still in la la land calling him a Nazi and tree hater. I'm so confused right now

Many of those people are still holding out hope that as long as they vote Republican, things are going to be OK, so they are willing to bend on issues, like this one, just to keep their party in power.

I'm talking real disenfranchisement. Like when Texas goes blue because of all the anchor baby Hispanics being born there. I think that will be a real wakeup call to a lot of people.

trump is nothing more than a con man who will say or do any thing for the benefit of trump. Not only is it hard to believe he fooled the people he did to get elected, it's hard to believe he still has a following after 6 months of doing nothing except divide America.

Think he's drawn his battle lines on budget negotiations. He's removed DACA as an opportunity for obstruction by Dems. $1.6bn has been approved in the Houses 2018 budget for the walls construction. Dems & RINO's derailing a $1trillion dollar budget over $1.6bn will cost them in mid-terms. Self draining swamp.
