    Never has been a problem. For other teams yes, but even in our down years,people tune in for the same reasons as when they are good, they either want to see them win or lose. They are l still tops in ratings, sales, etc. It’s the Cowboys. They are the most valuable sports franchise in the world.

    The Giants are well on their way to having the worst season ever, and that's saying a lot. Ugh, what a terrible year so far.

    I'll be watching tonight, and rooting my little blonde head off for the Cards!

    The Cowboys are bush league. Every team with cheerleaders is! ;)

    not denying Cowboys games will be a higher rating then other games because of the Cowboys being one of the countries favorite teams but you don't let a what they call an outlier buck the over all trend

    I turned it off. I am not going to let millionaire asshats tear down the flag and anthem as they are meant to bring us all together. Screw them if they want to be divisive.

    What do you think is more important to those owners and coaches... Being called a racist by the guys they hire or going from being a millionaire/billionaire to bankrupt, broke, and a piece of trash?

    I don’t disagree that the ratings are down overall, league wide. I’m saying the Cowboys are doing their part and the other teams need to step it up.

    they are hoping Goodell will do something so they wouldn't look like the bad guy. I'm sure they have had that conversation with Goodell begging him to do something but he is a coward and why he will be outed next chance they have

    Hasn’t happened. What he has said is he doesn’t think it’s the proper place, but there’s been no threats of firing, etc. in fact they are probably doing something tonight. Similar to what they did for fallen police officers, lock arms, on the sideline during anthem.

    Another fake fact.

    Fact: video including players standing for anthem are around from the 60’s and 70’s. I even posted one here, on this forum, last year when all this was happening.

    There’s a lot of fake news regarding this anthem thing from both sides. For instance, Jerry Jones never claimed he would fire anyone over this stuff.

    Of course that was on the old version. Can’t find it now.

    The DOD did pay for extra stuff, no doubt, but players certainly did stand for it previous to then.

    The National Anthem was NEVER aired on Television for regular season games until this whole lame ass Kaepernik issue became a thing.

    NASCAR is the only sport I recall airing the national anthem prior to a regular season race.

    MLB (Only airs anthem at All Star & World Series games)
    NHL (Only airs anthems in post season / Stanley Cup games)
    NBA (Only airs anthem in NBA Finals)
    NFL (Only aired anthem in the Super Bowl, until everyone made a big deal about Kaepernik)

    Who gives a flying eff if players stand or sit during the national anthem? I am not paying my $$ at a live sporting event and watching on TV to hear the anthem being sung by some local singer. I am watching to see a sporting event.

    Moving the goal posts?

    The anthem hasn’t always been aired for every single broadcast game, but they did do it. Also, that’s on CBS, FOX, ESPN, ABC, and NBC for not airing them.

    8% drop???? time to shut down the NFL for good and have the networks close down their sports operations pronto! actually it would probably be the best thing for America to get rid of football in the first place since it's a game filled with violence. It's out lived its usefulness as entertainment and would most likely cut down on drunk driving across the US..

    Redskins and Raiders is not a top end matchup.

    Raiders have 1 winning season since 2002
    Redskins generally seen as 3rd or 4th best in their division.

    Cord cutting is having a big impact on ratings even if the viewership stays the same.

    I know a guy who is not my brother whose son bought this streaming device that essentially lets you stream all that crap, in market, out of market, first run movies commercial free. It's a different world and measuring stuff using 1999 tech doesn't work anymore.

    Yeah, and a lot of the rest of us aren't paying our $$ or wasting our time watching some bunch of self-righteous, jive-ass, multi-millionaire clowns make a mockery out of our country before they condescend to allow us to see what superhuman athletes they are. :love:
