Actually, that's not true. The Phoenicians understood the curvature of the Earth as early as 3500 BC. Virtually all sea going peoples understood that the world is round. Flat Earth has never been a dominant belief.

 

LOL........Most sea going people was not sea going peoples for most of human history in that they seldom got very far from the sight of shore.

 

And yet, they were able to discern the curvature of the earth. The bottom line is that the idea that the earth is flat has never been a widely held belief. The idea that is was, is today a widely held belief, but that doesn't make it so.

Yes we are created in the image of a Creator. We did not create it ourselves, but we were made in His image. We were made to have fellowship with that Creator ultimately. And in Him we can give thanks and be grateful for our existance. That helps to fulfill our lives.

 

Proof of a false claim: none claim to have actually seen this "god" or know exactly what he looks like yet claim that we are the image of this "god" and will persecute any who say different.
