It’s totally his decision, he’ll be making a decision,” Trump said when asked about the nomination of Jackson, who is the White House physician to the president. The president said he told Jackson “this is a vicious group of people that malign. What do you need this for? … You’re too fine a person.” adding. "If I were him, I wouldn't do it,” Trump said. It's certainly NOT "throwing Jackson under the bus", except in Leftgoofyspeak.
Easy answers. Admiral Jackson served under three Presidents including Obama. He has one of the highest security clearances to work in the WH. Suddenly this smear campaign on him is nothing more than an attack on Trump. He is highly qualified for the job.
Well, I don't think it's throwing Jackson personally under the bus... I'm positive it's throwing any chance at Jackson's confirmation under the bus, which I think was the general point of the OP.... Barron Trump now has a better chance of being the head of the VA than Ronny Jackson..
Read the actual article SNIP Trump didn’t consider Jackson’s qualifications for the job when he appointed him, and he didn’t bother to vet him. He was just a useful instrument—the person who was nearest to him, whom he trusted, who wouldn’t say no, and who would meet the bare-minimum requirement as a nominee for VA secretary, so that the president could fire David Shulkin. Now, Trump isn’t really treating him as a human being, either. In his comments Tuesday, he blithely torpedoed Jackson’s nomination, treating him as a sacrifice in his ongoing war against the Senate confirmation process. ENDSNIP
Lets see.. There is an IG report that among other things includes a review by his employees that gives him a rating of about 2. So lets just send him back there to run that department. Get back under that bus.
Your evidence at this point seems to me to amount to gossip and unproven accusations. It may all be proven true eventually or it may all turn out to be garbage. You stated you knew he had not been vetted, when the accurate statement should have been, it is being reported he was not vetted, correct? The only evidence I’ve seen are stellar performance reviews although I’ve not had the news on today. If this is a bad nomination then he will not be confirmed. I do not understand the need to publicly trash a man just because he was offered a new job.
Yeah, I’ve seen nothing myself indicating there needs to be a smear campaign on him. But this has become the norm from the rabid and hateful losers.
Trump skipped the vetting process, and what qualifications does Ronny have to run a multi billion dollar agency? Being a doctor does not qualify one to run that large of an agency.
The need comes from the requirements of the job to which he was offered. He will be in charge of the healthcare of millions of veterans across the country. You should hope that such a position would carry intense scrutiny or at least something beyond, "he made me look good while talking to the press."
SNIP Complete bullshit opinion from an OP-ED SNIP SNIP The thread title is a COMPLETE AND TOTAL LIE SNIP.
I don't hate Trump. I have no animosity for the man at all. I recognise that he is an ego-driven man who craves affirmation. So I think Jackson may have taken that into account and wherever there was an opportunity to massage his report he might have done so. For example, measuring his height while fully dressed but taking his weight while naked. That might be enough to prevent Trump from being labeled obese.
So a guy that worked for three Presidents lied because you dont like the results.. Funny ****. The same guy Obama praised .
Take it up with the good people at www.theatlantic.com.... I understood the implication even if you didn't...
As opposed to the lifelong bureaucrats the Swamp keeps sending , to continue screwing the vets. I'll pass....
Did you read my post? I didn't say he lied. I said he might have massaged the results. To be clear, without lying. When he had to make a judgment call on certain things, he could have made the call that reflected most favorably on Trump.
No he didn't.....There's just a new vetting process in town.... It's called Trump saying "Hey, I know that guy. What spots do we have open?"
Read this... it's from Fox, so it should be on your approved reading list... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...calls-va-confirmation-process-disgusting.html EDIT - Forgot to post this little snip from the Fox article, which I hadn't seen before... if that's a direct quote from Trump (and it's in quotes), this fits on the shelf as one of the dumbest things I've seen from him (this week) SNIP Trump did call Jackson "a great doctor" and "one of the finest people that I have met." He acknowledged that "there's an experience problem, because of lack of experience," ENDSNIP
So let’s call him a drunk and drug pusher rather than address whether he has the qualifications? Give no consideration to his documented work performance by his superiors? I believe a confirmation hearing is scrutiny.
