For someone who is "squeaky clean" I have to ask why he acts so damned guilty including all the lying, and why a guy who brags about choosing the best people went out of his way to choose so many Russian connected crooks to his administration.

I would rather see NK using words instead of nukes. Why are some folks so hung up on words. You know what they say about sticks and stones, right?

Read my first answer to Ardy.

I think you can be an imperfect man and still love your country and still want to do the right things for it.

    That's it.

Just a few months a ago, you alt-lefties were complaining about Trump being too mean to the North Korea.

Now you alt-lefties are complaining that Trump is being too nice. Make up your fricking minds!!!!!

Trump is a great negotiator which is something you alt-lefties will never understand.

    Try to keep up.

I'm sure that the picture of the American president saluting the brutal dictator's general was very popular on NK TV.

He gave away the farm for nothing more than regurgitated promises that NK has been repeating for years.

    Some "great negotiator."

Trump is so smart, he is the only politician who could ever make Americans hate Canada:

Trump has the power to change minds instantly: Favorable view of Canada has dropped from 94% to 66%

This, in fact, is the poignant and quite bonkers script in Trump’s head: that the economy was in free-fall until he took office, after which it soared; that he alone has brought black and Hispanic unemployment down; that his administration has accomplished more than any other at this point in its term; that the Democrats colluded with the Kremlin to try to rig the election; that Robert Mueller is a closet Democrat; that climate change is a hoax; that the American-created international trading system was designed to hurt the U.S.; that you can borrow over a trillion dollars in a full employment economy with no consequences in inflation or debt; and that sabotaging the ACA will lead to lower premiums, greater choice, and better health outcomes for all. Each one of these assertions is what he wants to be true. And so they are true. As the chairwoman of the GOP just explained to any skeptics left in the formerly conservative party: “Anyone that does not embrace the Donald Trump agenda of making America great again will be making a mistake.”

The bad news is that a vast chunk of the American public wants all this to be true as well. If you had any doubts that the GOP is now a cult, this week’s primary results should put them to rest. Republican voters have decided that they will follow their leader no matter what he says, and if that means changing their minds on a dime, so be it. Take Canada. Not so long ago, it was funny to attack our benevolent neighbor to the north. Countless episodes of South Park wouldn’t have worked without the baseline of reality that Canada is about as good and boring a neighbor as you can possibly imagine. But Trump has the power to change minds instantly. So in February this year, 94 percent had a favorable view of Canada. Now, only 66 percent have a favorable view, with 13 in opposition and 22 percent suddenly unsure. Only two years ago, free trade was as solid a shibboleth for the GOP as it gets; now, it’s anathema, even for Larry Kudlow! And watching every Republican senator, apart from McCain, Flake, and Corker (all retiring), stay utterly silent after their president praised a mass-murdering dictator and gave him a global PR coup … well, it’s no longer surprising, but it should remain shocking.

Why do I have to like Canada?

There citizens who can't get a simple medical procedure done because of the their huge waiting list go south over the border to America and pay cash to get the procedure done.

The irony is interesting. Neither Clinton has ever been convicted of a crime, yet the Right goes on and on and on ad infinitum about what criminals they are. LOL What hypocrisy.

Sure...but there's no actual basis to think he loves the country and plenty to think he loves HIMSELF. I've watched his act for over 40 years...and you seem to see what you want to see and not what is in evidence

His personal life is just repulsive--prostitutes, Playboy nude models, porn actresses, and being with these women when his wife is having a baby. Three marriages and he cheated on all his wives. Calls women either fat ugly pigs or pieces of ass. Sexually assaults women and brags about it. He's a junk food junkie--fat, sloppy and corpulent. He is a pathological liar. He's disgusting.

Trump has praised Kim as “tough” and “talented” and has not made an issue of his human rights abuses, which include executing his opponents. As someone who also inherited his position from his father, Trump has been sympathetic to the young leader. Cut him some slack, he has a big job ahead of him.

“Hey, when you take over a country, tough country, with tough people, and you take it over from your father, I don’t care who you are, what you are, how much of an advantage you have,” Trump said this week as he was returning from their summit in Singapore. “If you can do that at 27 years old, I mean that’s one in 10,000 that could do that. So he’s a very smart guy. He’s a great negotiator. But I think we understand each other.”

Sure he did. donald kowtowed to this ruthless, brutal murderer and dictator, telling everyone how smart and funny he is, and how he loves his people and they love him. Excused and justified his mass murders and crimes. Giving a two bit tyrant legitimacy he craves and great propaganda to use at home. Giving him a light on the world stage. Cancelling military ties with our SK allies, further undermining our allies trust. Laying the groundwork for sanctions to be lifted by China and Russia.

All for nothing more than a regurgitation of a position NK has been saying for years.

What a "great negotiator." I feel so much better.

He doesn't care about anything but Donald Trump. He fits the psychological description of a narcissistic personality exactly. His is far, far from just simply flawed.

I think, in part anyway, it's because we just cannot understand why anyone with any decency and common sense would think this is a good man to have as president. It's as if the only reason to support him is hope for a better economy and because he isn't a Democrat. There is more than that to being US president and leader of the free world.

During NHL games, Canadian chant ''we got health care'' and enjoy free medical care while Americans die due to lack of coverage.

He also had his half brother assassinated and had his uncle and mentor executed. This is not someone the president of a Western democratic nation should be praising.

Lesh, I think it is harder to think that he cares about the country if you don't agree with the policies he believes in.

Let's just imagine that Trump was everything that he is except that his policies were strongly progressive. I think that would make it easier for you to say what I said - that he is an imperfect man, but that he is trying to do the right things for the country.

If it is possible to do it, and we can separate the politics from the person, then we may have to agree with my analysis.

    Seth
