LOL, patience is a true virtue to civil discourse. You do have patience! Hat's off......wish I had more of it.
LOLOL.. In socialism.. the government owns the facilities and employs doctors, nurses etc. Americans simply aren't bright enough to solve the problems.
Capitalism/Free Enterprise isn't designed to give you the American Dream. What it is designed to give you is the freedom and opportunity to obtain it the way that you see fit. Like many, if not most, Americans, I have managed to obtain the American Dream, but I had to earn it - no one, no thing and no system gave that to me. The American Dream is still obtainable - anyone who tells you otherwise is lying.
Don't mind me for jumping in briefly here but this response is a non sequitur, now I'll jump back out. Carry on......
That's what you said before. Like before, you fail to recognize that single-payer healthcare socializes the cost of heath care for the few across the resources of the many. Thus, socialism.
After half a century of immersion in it, I think I know the difference just a bit better than any anti-communist like you. (BTW, I oppose communist methods too.)
Where do the worlds HAPPIEST people live???Pretty much every year the top ten happiest nations are dominated by the Scandanavian socialist countries.Sort of speaks for itself!!!
If you want to stop adding to the confusion then stop using labels that people don't understand. This is why I use terms like "wealth redistribution" and "totalitarianism" and then normally give further context in relation to these terms.
Right, the delivery part isn't socialized but the payment part is. And it has been a spectacular and disgraceful failure, which is why vets are now having to turn to the private sector to get HC they can't get from the public system. Which is why the government should stay out of it as much as possible...
Again, perspective and who is defining Democratic Socialism will determine how people might understand this relatively modern ideology. When we say modern, the term Social Democracy or Democratic Socialism has been recently popularized by the recent election in the US and Bernie Sanders referring to himself as a “Democratic Socialist.” So what is “Democratic Socialism.”
Dems do not believe in equal distribution of wealth. Just because someone favors a few crumbs from the table to the poor - does not mean they favor "equal distribution of wealth. You are using flawed and somewhat meaningless labels and attaching them to democrats in a way that is flawed. As stated previously - if you want to say that Dems are in favor of "wealth redistribution" preferably followed by an example "welfare" - then say this.
Clarification of the misunderstood labels is essential. Terms like "wealth redistribution" and "totalitarianism" are general rather than specific, and so they preserve the confusion.
I have. And I'm not going to let you waste my time further. You will now join selected others on my "ignore" list. Bye.
Times have changed old timer and so has the definition of Democratic Socialism. https://www.dsausa.org/what_is_democratic_socialism Democratic socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.
