Not the same. There will be considerable horizontal distance between the wind mill fields. In addition, there is considerable vertical depth. A windmill extends vertical a few hundred feet at its highest while the low level winds go up a mile or so. Plus there will be no accumulation like in the ocean.

It is very likely. It is not the wind mills themselves. Wind mill are distributed in huge arrays covering hundreds of square miles. There is considerable equipment in their to raise the voltage for long distance transmission and conversion to sixty cycle. All that electronic equipment generates considerable electromagnetic radiation over a large area which can cause cancer for those in the vicinity. It is the same concern as with cell phones.

It is the same reason that there is a .7 volt drop over semiconductor junctions. Technically a battery is a collection of things. Thus electrical batteries are collections of cells. In a 6 volt battery, there are 4 cells and 8 cells in a 12 volt battery. The world's largest battery would have the world's largest collection of cells.

In general it is much more efficient to use large cells rather than a large numbers of small cells. Bussing large numbers of small cells uses up considerable energy. Also, by the way, the voltage per cell depends on the chemistry used. A lead acid battery is about 1.5 volts and a nickel cadmium cell is over two volts per cell.

Not true. You could have a million volts but still have very little energy. And by the way, electrical energy is generally considered to fall under the category of mechanical or kinetic energy because there is nearly a one to one efficiency in converting it to other forms of mechanical or kinetic energy. For example there are theoretical limits to the efficiency of internal combustion engines. It is usually on the order of about 30% or so. The efficiency of an electric motor approaches one hundred percent.

Maybe But, truly I did read a scholarly paper on the idea. I do not like Wind Energy. Okay for powering a home or a couple, but like solar energy farms, Wind Energy farms are just too much. Ecological Disasters written off because they carry the GREEN Label ignoring the bird carcasses. Even protected species. When was the last time someone built something along the idea of the Turkish Spain Dutch Wind Mill where the blade has low RPM and acts as a "flywheel" via its' weight/mass.
