Two dead, up to 20 injured in West Texas shooting; 1 suspect in custody

You think that the leaders of a city or state is responsible for the actions of individuals that commit crimes my you are desperate..

 

This one is odd, it does appear that it all began with a simple traffic stop.

 

That's a hoot considering that earlier this month the left was blaming Trump for mass shootings.

No one has accurate info on the shootings, not even the Odesa sheriff. Looks like a state trooper traffic stopped a white guy in his mid 30's. He took off, ended up at Cinergy movie complex where he started randomly shooting up people in the parking lot. There was talk about someone stealing a USPS van. It is completely unclear what the motive was. Could be a robbery or another crime that went wrong?
Appears to be 5-6 dead and 31 injured from latest reports.

It is completely WRONG for CNN to immediately start blaming white supremacists as they are doing as I write. The lowest 3rd string holiday weekend POS hack non-journalists spewing opinions and commentary from New York no yet!

 

Chicago is tragic, but it does not inspire fear in most people. We can avoid inner cities. How can we avoid random mass shootings?

True - most Chicago shooting are gang-on-gang with specific targets, not in shopping malls or churches. But conservative posters here will always drag out the, "what about Chicago ..." on these mass shootings as if they are one in the same. Both are bad, but they are not equal in intent.

 

Oh of course I would have to ask the shooter to wait a few minutes while I got out the gun because I don’t usually walk down the street with my hands on the trigger. Shooters catch people off guard they don’t wait for them to get their guns out

 

FYI, there have been countless laws written and executed for capital crimes, they still exist, what makes your idea so much better. People will forget, it is human nature to move on forward.

Well not sure why other cities like Kabul, Damascus and the like are left out, let alone Somalia, but thanks for the info. I am presuming they are just qualifying by numbers, because there are too many other cities no USA citizen would survive alone, compared to the other cities mentioned in your article.

 

I was flipping channels to see who had what. Because it is a weekend, none of the news is reported by their A-teams. It took only less than a minute for CNN to have some former "expert" on the phone who was jumping to conclusions and expounding about white supremacists, as if he actually had ANY facts. This it why CNN is called fake news. They have zero credibility.

 

That is not fake news, that is editorial. I personally don't watch the news, I read it.

 

When I first saw that list I immediately thought it was wrong. Surely there must be enough dangerous cities around the world to bump our cities off the list. My guess is those places either don't keep murder statistics or they don't publish them.

This shooter was given the death sentence and the sentence has been carried out. Done deal....

 

I would have thought that there were enough good people in Texas who are armed and could have taken this POS down before he got to kill multiple pople.

 

Editorial, commentary, opinion is all the same, Worthless whether reported on air from some studio clown or a newspaper reporter who writes from a wire report. There were few verified facts by any source at the time and still aren't 5 hours later.

Fact: The shooter is dead white male who is assumed to be mid 30's in age. Identity is unknown or not confirmed. There are a lot of unknowns.
Fact: the Odesa Police believed they knew who the shooter was.
Fact: He was stopped by a TX state trooper. Apparently got away, hijacked a USPS van. Police followed him about 20 miles to where he ended up at a movie theater complex where he started shooting randomly at people through their windshields.
Fact: the police pursuit may have been a running gun battle but that has not been confirmed.
Fact: It is not known if the cops shot the guy or if he killed himself.
Fact: appears to be at least 5 dead including the shooter and 21 injured including 3 cops.

 

Wonder if theres any aerial footage of that pursuit.
