Dgus are at the smallest estimate around 500k per year at the highest at around 2m per year.

    That's a no brainer

    Well not really, but ok.
When you said you wouldn’t want to give her an AR-15 “either” in the context of 12 gauges not being ideal it threw me.

My wife has a shoulder injury that eliminates the 12 gauge option for her. I’m not opposed to shotguns for women who are capable and proficient with them. In my experience the AR is much preferred by the majority of women who try both.

Yeah without a gun it would go like this:

Man: I really want to kill you now.

    Woman: But there's no gun.

Man: **** I was gonna kill you though. Guess I'll watch TV. Make me a sammich.

Unless you're using birdshot, the 12ga is going through all the walls, which makes it a bad choice.

Of course, using birdshot makes it a bad choice.

Do your really believe for a nano second that if the democrats get away with confiscating AR and Ak's that they would stop there? Really? That is naive.

Hire armed security to guard your loved ones. That's what I'd do if I felt the way you appear to feel.

If your legally owned property suddenly becomes illegal, then you'll have to relinquish or face possible felony charges by the authorities.

Next up, military style "sniper" rifles. Weapons of War.

    AKA the Fudd's hunting weapons.

    Sure.

They can try to arrest 100 million of us if they'd like to take a shot.

And Colt has said it has stopped or will stop making AR 15s. Good.

And what exactly do you think this announcement by Colt means? The reality is it means nothing. Colt can't compete in price or quality. It has been downhill for them since their AR patents ran out in the 70s. There are many companies that produce high quality and low price ARs for the civilian market.

It makes me ask who the REAL criminals are. So much for the 'oath' to defend the Constitution. What other Constitutional rights are you willing to surrender to a Gov that seeks ever more control? I think we both know the fella that said "when the law becomes lawless..."

How many guns can you buy on one weeks salary of a hired security guard?

So you believe in firearms, you just want someone else to hold it for you. Interesting.

Well, if you violate the law your not a law abiding citizen. I'm sure you'll comply since you don't want to be charged with a felony and lose the right to own any guns, lose the right to vote and all federal licenses you may possess.

In the aftermath of Katrina homes of the rich in New Orleans were protected by armed guards from Blackwater (a private military company) while out of town police were brought in to disarm the little people. That is the reality the dim party seeks to impose on America.

At 20' your chances of hitting your target are improved greatly by using and AK rather than a pistol.......

You know I have to be honest, I've never bought a gun in my life, in fact the last rifle I handled was M-14 back in 1972 and belonged to the US government. However I imagine they are several thousand dollars each so some people have quite an investment in firearms. Either way if I felt my family was threatened I'd find a way to pay for a hired security guard.

My point is this; whether or not we agree with whatever laws are passed, we can challenge them in a court of law but in the meantime obey the laws until they are changed or found to be unconstitutional. The courts are the mechanism we all agree to go by in this country to settle disputes as opposed to taking matters into our own hands otherwise you'd have total anarchy in this country and I'd think that's not what most people would want.

That is how it SHOULD be but it's not that way when the courts are stacked with activist Judges and the lawmakers do as they please, damn the people. Whatever happened to the days when we had public servants and we the people were the ones they answered to?
And BTW, many more people can afford a gun but not private security. What do you think that would cost a month? I'd bet more than the me and the Mrs, live on a month.

I dont keep my cap n balls loaded, but I have in the past, when I felt the need. And will, if I feel any need again.
