Keep in mind that SCOTUS is now slanted heavily towards the right so I think they'd issue a fair ruling based on the US Constitution. I have complete faith in them to issue a ruling based on the facts and constitution without being partisan in any way. As far as the cost of security, I'm sure not everyone could afford it and I would guess it would depend on how often you were to utilize them to really appreciate the cost involved. I've also heard of some neighborhood associations forming volunteer security patrols who keep an eye out for those who may be suspicious in nature or don't live there. Generally there is always a way to figure out a way to have some sort of security presence.

 

There is no security force more dedicated to the defense of 'me and mine' than myself. You'd have to spend a lot of money to buy that level of commitment.

Shoot a water jug in front of drywall and you won't have a scratch on it.

Shoot a big piece of meat in front of a drywall, and you'll have a dent in the drywall from the meat being slammed into the wall. No bullet damage.
